The Research of Avoiding Design Misleading in Interface Design
II
Abstract Abstract In interactive design, there are many products designed misleading. Interactive design of the product itself does not exist misleading, because of the user interaction with the product, the product of the implementation model and the user's mental model does not match, hen the design of misleading generated, which is the root that causes misleading. Misleading product design is one of the external representation on the lack of availability. How to avoid misleading has an important significance to improve the availability of interactive products. The subject is on the causes of misleading based on the process between the user and the interactive product, from the physical level of the misleading, the user misuse and self-reference design point of view of the three interactive products that are misleading. The article describes that what is design misleading, why misleading occurs and the induction of principles to avoid misleading. The first part is to propose the problem of design misleading, interactive products and some concepts on design misleading, starting from the five properties of the availability, defined on the design misleading and indicate the necessary for research of design misleading; the second part is to describe the causes of misleading, from the physical aspects of products, users of the affected factors and designer of the user to analyze three aspects: the physical aspects of products, from the sensory experience of misleading terms, sensory experience of major users of the products produced how to generate misleading, and the causes of the different cognitive users; users of the affected factors and found that the user's misuse of influence by the three - that proficiency, the environment and memory, and conduct a usability test to analyze the different factors influence the degree of user misuse; designer of the user's research, analyzing the design of self-reference leading to the design of one -sidedness, and analyze user research methods commonly used the advantages and disadvantages, as well as user research method is more suitable for what products; the third part is on the problem solving and misleading summary of designing principles for above (Part II) analysis were summarized, and do some test. The article aims to provide new ideas and methods for high availability goals, and to provide a new direction for the development of interaction design. More importantly, the process described in the argument, the paper combined with their practical research and projects, summarized and summed up the misleading definition and principles of design. This article is very useful to guide future design of interactive products and to research misleading. Then we can create easy to use, and it can provide effective design methods and ideas to avoid misleading of the interactive product design.
