Students involved in the bilingual teaching program have a clear understanding of the purpose and meaning of the bilingual education program, while they expect more from bilingual education. Methods The methods of questionnaire and mathematical statistics were adopted in this paper, and the scientific research abilities of pharmaceutical major undergraduates in our college were in - vestigated and analyzed. Results The scientific research consciousness of pharmaceutical major undergraduates in our college is good, 88.1% of students thought it was necessary to offer scientific research ability training course, but the research ability was low in these students, there were many difficulties in participate in scientific research, among which selecting topic, reading literature and writing papers, retrieval and collection data were the top three reasons. Conclusion The teaching contents, methods of pharmaceutical professional course should be reformed, strengthen the scientific research ability training of students, and more funds should be given in the laboratory equipments. Recently, we have introduced alkyne-terminated poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrons of different generations (G=2,3) into chitosan to obtain dendronized chitosan derivatives [Cs-g-PAMAM (G=2,3)], which exhibited a better water solubility and enhanced plasmid DNA transfection efficiency. In this study, we attempted to examine the impact of Csg-PAMAM (G=2,3) at different concentrations (25 μg/ml, 50 μg/ml, and 100 μg/ml) on the morphology, surface structure, and viability of rat red blood cells (RBCs). The results showed that treatment of RBCs with Cs-g-PAMAM (G=2,3) at 50 μg/ml and 100 μg/ml induced a slightly higher hemolysis than Cs, and Cs-g-PAMAM (G=3) caused a slightly higher hemolysis than Cs-g-PAMAM (G=2), but all values were,5.0%. Optical microscopic and atomic force microscopic examinations indicated that Cs-g-PAMAM (G=2,3) caused slight RBC aggregation and lysis. Treatment of RBCs with 100 μg/ml Cs-g-PAMAM (G=3) induced echinocytic transformation, and RBCs displayed characteristic irregular contour due to the folding of the periphery. Drephanocyte-like RBCs were observed when treated with 100 μg/ml Cs-g-PAMAM (G=3). Erythrocytes underwent similar shape transition upon treatment with Cs-g-PAMAM (G=2) or Cs. The roughness values (Rms) of RBCs incubated with Cs-g-PAMAM (G=2,3) were significantly larger than those for RBCs incubated with physiological saline (P,0.01), but the Rms showed no difference for Cs and Cs-g-PAMAM (G=2,3) (P.0.05). Furthermore, Cs-g-PAMAM (G=2,3) exhibited a lower cytotoxicity in human kidney 293T cells. These results indicate that Cs-g-PAMAM (G=2,3) are hemocompatible but may disturb membrane and lipid structures at higher concentrations. Further safety and biocompatibility evaluations are warranted for Cs-g-PAMAM. Our findings prove helpful for a better understanding of the advantages of combining PAMAM dendrimers and chitosan to design and develop new, safe, and effective drug delivery vehicles. We applied HPLC technique to quantitatively analyze sinomenine in cubosome nanoparticles. The chromatographic method was performed by using an isocratic system. The mobile phase was composed of methanol-pbs(ph6.8)-triethylamine (50 : 50 : 0.1%) with a flow rate of 1 ml/min; the detection wavelength was at 265 nm. Sinomenine can be successfully separated with good linearity (the regression equation is A = 10835C ; R 2 = 1.0) and perfect recovery (102.2%). The chromatograph technique was proper for quality control of sinomenine in cubosome nanoparticles. 1. Introduction Sinomenine (7,8-didehydro-4-hydroxyl-3,7-dimethoxy-17- methylmorphinan-6-one, chemical structure is shown in Figure 1) isanalkaloidisolatedfromthestemandrootof Chinese medical plant Sinomenium acutum Rehd. et Wils. Because of its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, sinomenine has been utilized clinically to treat rheumatoid 2. Experiments arthritis and neuralgia [1, 2]. In order to prevent the negative gastrointestinal adverse reactions and low bioavailability of sinomenine oral preparations, researchers have been trying to use transdermal drug delivery system to overcome these shortcomings. For example, microemulsion based gel [3], liposome [4], and ethosomes [5] had been documented in the literature. We concerned the development of sinomenine preparations for a long time and found cubosome, a novel kind of transdermal drug delivery system, could be very well suitable to the sinomenine. Cubosome and liposome both had the bilipids membrane, but cubosome showed better storing stability compared to liposomes [6]. Cubosome could also enhance the drug deposition in the skin and showed excellent skintargeted characteristics [7]. Glycerol monooleate (DIMO- DAN MO/D KOSHER, material number ) was kindly provided by Danisco Cultor (Brabrand, Denmark). Poloxamer 407 (PEO98POP67PEO98) was a gift from BASF (Ludwigshafen, Germany). Sinomenine was purchased from Shenzhen Yihao Technology Development Co., Ltd. (Guangdong, China). Methanol (Chromatographic Grade) was purchased from Tianjin Fuyu Chemical Co., Ltd. (Tianjin, China). Water purified through a flow water purification system (Qingdao, China) was used throughout this study. PBS (ph 6.8) was made according to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2010). The nanoparticles were prepared by applying high - shear homogenization and sonication with the phytantriol as the basic liquid crystal material and the poloxamer 407 F127 as the stable agent. The effect of ultrasonic parametersnamely time and power on the dispersion temperature and nanoparticles' size were carefully studied. The results turned out that the power and ultrasonic time were found to be critical for obtaining the desirable cubosome particles. The optimal sonication parameter was 50. 0% ultrasonic power for 6. 0 min. Optimized sonication parameters were used to investigate the effect on cubosomes size and temperature. The observed and predicted results were consistent with little difference. Central composite design and response surface method could be well used to optimize the cubosome process. Methods The content of ibuprofen was determined by HPLC. Ibuprofen was used as the model drug and mouse skin was used as the permeation barrier in vitro. The transdermal properties of myrrh essential oil and its effect on percutaneous absorption of ibuprofen were investigated using Franz diffusion cells. Results Without myrrh essential oil or with 1% 2% and 3% myrrh essential oil the cumulative transdermal penetration amount in 12h of ibuprofen in vitro was ± ± ± and ± mg cm - 2 with Jss of ± ± ± and ± mg cm 2 h - 1 respectively.
