Based on the relational literat ure, t he struct ure of career growt h is investigated and a scale to measure career growt h is developed. 879 employees f ro m 50 firms answered t he questionnaire. Factor analysis and struct ual equation model were used to analyse t he data. The aut hor s fo und t hat career growt h measure co ntained t hree factors, including career progression, career capacity develop ment and promotion opport unity. The result s showed that all t ho se t hree factor s of career growt h had significant negative impact o n employees t urnover intention. The role of career progression on t urnover intention was most significant.
