The relationship among the experience of the online games, the attitude toward online games and life adjustment of the fifth and sixth grade students in Taipei city. Abstract The purpose of this research is to understand elementary school students that experiences of the online games, and the relationship between the attitude toward online games and life adjustment. The research tools are two questionnaires. Subjects were randomly selected from public elementary school fifth and sixth grade students in Taipei city. There were 875 valid simples from 35 classes in 12 schools. The research tools are "The Online Game Experience and Attitude Scale of Elementary School Students" of and "Life Adjustment Inventory". The data analysis was conducted by frequency distribution, t-test, product-moment correlation, ANOVA. The results are follows: 1. The online game is a universal leisure activity of the fifth and sixth grade students in Taipei city, and students have time limited on using computers. 2. There is much differences that the significance of the attitude toward online games by sex, grades, internet equipments, using time and operation ability. 3. The mean is under average: the behavioral of the attitude toward online games; the mean is above average: the cognitive of the attitude toward online games and affective of the attitude toward online games. 4. There were helpful to social adjustment by playing online game. 5. There were good for social adjustment which they had cyberpeer in the online games. 6. Students who don t like to play online games have better life adjustment. Keyword: online game, experiences of the online games, the attitude toward online games, life adjustment.
