Role Play - Order Chinese dishes: You are making a skit about dining at 全聚德 restaurant (famous for its Beijing Duck) with your host family in Beijing. Students in groups of 3-4, one will act as the waiter/waitress, and the others will act as customers. Each customer will need to order at least one dish, one drink and one soup; however, you only have 300 of budget per group. Your tasks: Customers - 1. Order at least one dish, one drink and one soup (total expense cannot exceed 300). 2. Each customer needs to describe the flavor of the Chinese dishes that s/he orders tiántiánde suānsuānde by using: 甜甜的, 酸酸的 làlàde,or 辣辣的 bùxǐhuan 不喜欢 to indicate why you order your food.) xǐhuan (Extra points: You may use 喜欢 3. After the meal, describe whether your food is delicious or not by saying: wǒ de hěnhàochī wǒ de bù hào 我的 很好吃 ; 我的 不好吃 chī 4. Pay your bill within your budget and check whether or not your change is correct 5. Be able to use chopstick correctly. 6. (Optional extra point: Act in culturally appropriate table manners.)
