In the Q1 2014, the overall demand for prime retail spaces rose stable. Benefiting from its professional operations, comprehensive tenant mix strategies and effective marketing tactics, certain properties maintained full occupancy and low vacancy rate. In 2014, ten shopping malls are expected to bring a new supply of approximately 1,500,000 square meters, which equivalent to 60% of the existing stock to the market. Compared with those in the mature commerce circles, shopping malls in non-prime area are expected to acquire more acquisition opportunities. Sisyphe Park Book is scheduled to enter Mix City with an area of 1000sqm. SLY, the popular women s clothing brand from Japan, will launch its first store in South China in 1234 Space. UCC, the franchise operation coffee store entered China market for the first time and has completed transactions in Kingglory Plaza. Luohu captured the highest average ground floor rental values at RMB 1,395 psm per month, followed by Futian at a level of RMB 1,164 psm per month, while Nanshan recorded at RMB 741 psm per month. Mix City took the title of most expensive mall with the price of RMB 2,000/m/sqm, KKmall as well as Cocopark and Yitian Holiday Plaza, presented a high rental performance in the quarter through April.
