Long March of the Red Army a record by dozens of participants of what they experienced during the Long March is the first collection of memories about the Red Army s Long March. Having remained in oblivion for years this book with dual nature of oral history and historical document has now received new attention. By studying and interpreting the text of the book the paper outlines the major process of the Long March describes the activities of the CPC and Army leaders during the March depicts the relationship between the Red Army and the people in that period records the real life of the Red Army soldiers and proceeds to analyze the value of this book for the research on the Long March. Long March of the Red Army establishes the basic framework of Long March narrative. Besides the valuable historical information retained in it will be a rare and precious asset for future generations to better understand and fully perceive the Long March.
