2 Concept Passion opened its first shop in June 2012 by La Rose Noire. The name of the shop echoes the lifelong passion of owner Gérard Dubois, a Swiss-born pastry chef, for delivering top-quality products. Here, patrons seeking a traditional French café experience can sit back to savor a crispy oven-to-plate baguette with a rich chocolat chaud, in a homey country cottage setting and the aroma of freshly baked bread. The shop s star products are its crusty sourdough bread and Passion baguette, baked in-house in a traditional stone oven. Both are made exclusively with imported French flour of the highest quality. The wide choice of trendy French Pastries, as well as all time classic, such as Tangy Tarte au Citron and Mille Feuille with vaniila caramel cream could easily make anyone give in to their sweet tooth. It is only in Passion that desserts and cup cakes are served in dainty ceramic pots, and the handmade French macarons distinguish themselves from their peers with hand-painted shells and delicate pâte-de-fruit filling. The thick creamy chocolat chaud on the menu is an alluring signature drink. The ritual of letting the raspberry dive into the rich chocolate is a must, as the bitterness of dark chocolate blends perfectly with the fruitiness of the raspberry. At the sandwich counter, the gourmet fillings are carefully paired with artisan bread chosen from the substantial selection baked in-house, assuring the tastiest match. Comforting meat stew, oven baked pizza and homemade pasta are available for diners growing for a casual yet delectable evening meal. For the health-conscious customers, the salad counter is never lack of choice. All salads, sandwiches, bakeries and pastries are available for take-away and sit-in dining.
