1 G804.4 A (2012) New Development of the Researches on Exercise Improving Fitness LI Zhi-jun 1, XIANG Jan-feng 2, LIU Xin 2, et al (Shanghai Research Institute of Sports Science, Shanghai , China) Abstract: As the life becomes more and more convenient, the living style of sitting all day long has been approved to be the major factor affecting fitness. In the recent years, the role of exercise improving fitness has re-attracted the attention of the society. By the methods of literature summarization and empirical study, the paper introduces the new development of the researches in foreign countries, such as the study on the relationship between walking behavior/walking interference and fitness, the study on using accelerometer to monitor exercise activity and energy consumption, the study on the relations between exercise and fat mobilization and oxidation application, the study on the correlation between cycling and fitness improvement, etc. It predicts the future development of those researches and suggests the way and direction for further study in this field.
