Become A Man Without Smell of Fire
26 Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here! So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, 27 and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.
24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, Weren t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire? They replied, Certainly, Your Majesty. 25 He said, Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.
16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.

Now the house of David was told, Aram has allied itself with Ephraim ; so the hearts of Ahaz and his people were shaken, as the trees of the forest are shaken by the wind.

10 Again the Lord spoke to Ahaz, 11 Ask the Lord your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights. 12 But Ahaz said, I will not ask; I will not put the Lord to the test.
15 He will be eating curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, 16 for before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste.
Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
馬太福音 Matthew 1 21 他將要生一個兒子, 你要給他起名叫耶穌, 因他要將自己的百姓從罪惡裡救出來 22 這一切的事成就是要應驗主藉先知所說的話, 23 說 : 必有童女懷孕生子 ; 人要稱他的名為 以馬內利 ( 以馬內利翻出來就是神與我們同在 ) 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel (which means God with us ).
1 The Lord had said to Abram, Go from your country, your people and your father s household to the land I will show you. 2 I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you. I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
Who are God s chosen people? The people who are standing at the crossroads. [Ray Vander Laan: That the Word May Know] 地利沒有天然資源和倚靠卻有影響力
(History of God s chosen people) 盟約形成的歷史 (History of covenant forming and development)
