248 [Brief Communication] Evaluation of a Community-Based Health Promotion Program: A Questionnaire Survey Hsiao-Hui Chiu 1 and Tzeng-Ji Chen 2 Purpose: Hospital-led community-based health promotion is one of the most practical approaches to provide consistent health care. Methods: A survey was conducted to measure the overall satisfaction with five community-based health promotion programs implemented in 2016. Results: Based on the 1,223 responses received, ocular inspection was the program marked with the highest participation rate (96.4%), while only 9.4% of the participants utilized medical consultation services. Oral inspection, on the other hand, reported the highest rate of abnormal findings. Satisfaction with the professionalism of the health care providers ranked the highest and that with the items of the provided services the lowest. Conclusion: Community-based health care service provides simple and accessible health examinations and medical services. Future efforts for enhancing its effectiveness should be directed to raising the participation rate for consultation services, increasing public awareness of oral hygiene, and improving the operational procedures and directional signage at the venue.
