Why family can no longer raise children? Wang Chih-tsan Abstract The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs of adoptees biological families. When family met with children adoption event. What we can do to help them? The Children Welfare League Foundation adoptee service has been commissioned by local governments to provide services adoptee whose parents can no longer raise them. Social workers provide various services for adoptee and their biological families, such as play therapy, consulting, referral and placements. The research data was based on CWLF adoptee service telephone consulting records. The valid sample was 1,394 cases. The results of the study included are as follows 1. The main types of family met with children adoption event, including unmarried pregnant, marriage crisis and marriage normal. 2. The family can no longer raise their children. The reasons include met with economic problem, relatives can not provide help, no ability to take care of children and lack children educational ability.
