Ordos Hospital Ordos Eerduosi 017010 China Abstract Objective We examined the roles of ultrasonography and ultrasound-guided biopsy in the diagnosis of plasma cell mastitis. Methods We retrospectively studied the clinical and the sonographic findings in 43 women who suspected plasma cell mastitis. All patients underwent gray - scale sonographic examination and ultrasound - guided biopsy. Results The most common presenting symptoms were a mass in the breast and pain.ultrasound-guided biopsy were successful no significant complications.the findings were plasma cell mastitis in 26 of 43 patients ultrasound examination of 21 cases 80.7% Ultrasound combined with ultrasound - guided puncture in 25 cases 96.1%. Ultrasound combined with ultrasound-guided puncture for the diagnosis of plasma cell mastitis sensitivity of 96.1% specificity of 94.1%. Combined with sonography is divided into three types 12 cases of type I tumor type 9 cases of type Ⅱ abscess type 5 cases of type Ⅲ hybrid type. Conclusion Neither Ultrasonography nor Ultrasound- guided biopsy plays a significant role in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of plasma cell mastitis. All cases require histopathologic confirmation for final diagnosis. 2017-03-09 2017-08-26 81460269 7162202 1982- E-mail shuminwang2014@ 163.com 017000
