In this study, we evaluated the density, height and coverage of S. caseolaris seedlings underneath the canopies of various mangrove forests (including both natural Kandelia candel and Avicennia marina communities and introduced S. caseolaris communities) and on the mudflats without canopy, in Futian Mangroves Natural Reserve of Shenzhen Bay from September 2006 to September Line intercept and square intercept methods were used in the survey. Tidal elevation, light intensity, community types and the distance between the sample squares and the nearest adult S. caseolaris were also recorded. The mean densities of S. caseolaris seedlings under the canopies of both the introduced and natural mangrove forests decreased from September 2006 (24.7 seedlings per m 2 and 19.7 seedlings per m 2, respectively) to September 2007 (no seedlings survived). No significant differences were found in the seedling density, height or coverage of S. caseolaris among different mangrove communities. However, the density, height and coverage of S. caseolaris seedlings were significantly higher on the mudflats without canopy than under the mangrove canopies, indicating that higher light intensity in on the mudflats without canopy promoted the dispersal and vertical growth of S. caseolaris seedlings. Although the optimal tidal elevation for S. caseolaris seedlings in Shenzhen Bay was between 1.40 m and 1.60 m, an area that falls within the mid-to-high intertidal zones, seedling density and tidal elevation were weakly correlated. The seedling density under the native mangrove canopies was negatively related to dispersal distance. However seedling density were positively correlated with light intensity(p<0.05), and the correlation coefficients for the introduced S. caseolaris forest increased through time with successive surveys. In contrast, there was no significant correlation founded between seedling density and light intensity under native mangrove canopies. We concluded that distance to mother tree was the most important factor determining S. caseolaris seedling density under native mangrove canopies, whereas the light intensity was the most important environmental factor for controlling seedling dispersal pattern under the canopy of the introduced S. caseolaris forest. Key words: mangroves, Sonneratia caseolaris, seedling dispersal, light intensity, elevation, dispersal distance 红树林是处于陆地与海洋过渡带的一类特殊植被类型, 是维持海岸生态平衡的特殊生态系统 ( 林鹏, 1997), 同时也是极易被入侵的生态系统之一 ( 黄建辉等, 2003) 海桑(Sonneratia caseolaris) 是天然分布于我国海南岛的红树植物, 属前缘裸滩定居的先锋树种由于海桑树体高大生长迅速结实率高耐水淹等特点, 近年来被广泛用于华南沿海滩涂红树林的生态恢复和人工造林 ( 郑德璋等, 1999) 海桑 1994 年首次在广东深圳湾引种并取得成功, 1999 年出现一定程度的自然更新和扩散现象 ( 王伯荪等, 2002; Zan et al., 2003), 2006 年 8 月, 在深圳湾红树林区出现了海桑幼苗的大面积扩散由于潮水的携带作用, 海桑已经从深圳福田的引种区扩散到对岸的香港米埔湿地, 并有进一步扩散的趋势 1 快速的扩散能力是入侵植物的重要特征 ( 黄建辉等, 2003), 因此, 海桑幼苗在深圳湾的自然扩散已经引 1 Yuk CL (2006) Study on the Germination Conditions of Two Exotic Species Sonneratia caseolaris and Sonneratia apetala. Undergraduate thesis, Department of Biology and Chemistry, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. 起有关部门对其入侵潜力的高度重视和担忧幼苗更新是植物种生活史上最重要的阶段之一, 而幼苗定居对植物的更新具有重要的筛选作用 (Clark et al., 1998; Rey & Alcántara, 2000) 海桑作为深圳红树林自然保护区的引入种, 其幼苗的天然更新和扩散及其对各类生态因子的响应还不清楚本研究拟在对海桑幼苗发生和扩散格局进行调查的基础上, 分析幼苗的更新和扩散规律及其生态响应, 为其自然扩散范围的预测和入侵潜力的评估提供基础资料 1 研究地点概况研究地点位于广东内伶仃福田国家级自然保护区的实验区 (22 32 N, E)( 图 1) 该区属南亚热带季风气候, 年平均气温 22, 最冷月平均 14.1 (1 月 ), 极端最低温 0.2 (1 月 ), 极端最高温 38.7 (7 月 ), 年平均降水量 1,927 mm, 年均相对湿度 79% 海水 ph 值为 , 海水盐度平均为 15 图 2 给出了调查期间与历史同期深圳的月均

The landward side of natural mangroves is occupied by Kandelia candel forest, and the seaward side is by Avicennia marina forest. 温图 ( 年 ) ( 调查区域内由陆向海依次分布有天然林 ( 秋茄林和白骨壤林 ) 和人工林 ( 海桑林 ), 3 种林型沿海岸线呈带状分布, 林中空地分布在海桑林内的没有冠层的光滩主要红树植物有本地种白骨壤 (Avicennia marina) 秋茄(Kandelia candel) 桐花树(Aegiceras corniculatum), 及引入种海桑和无瓣海桑 (Sonneratia apetala) 不同红树群落的相对光照强度依次为 : 海桑人工林 12.2%, 白骨壤天然林 6.64%, 秋茄天然林 7.18%, 林中空地 86.44% 2 研究方法 2.1 样地设置在保护区的红树林实验区 ( 见图 1 的 A 点到 B 点 ) 随机布置了 19 条与海岸线垂直的固定样线, 从红树林向陆一侧延伸到光滩样线的长度在 m 之间, 随红树林林带的宽度变化而变化其中, 天然林中 12 条, 人工海桑林中 6 条, 海桑林林中空地 1 条在天然林外侧如果有海桑林, 按天然林和海桑林两条样线计算在样线上每隔 5 m 布置一个样点, 以样点为中心, 设立一个 1 m 1 m 的固定样方总样方数为 160 个, 其中秋茄林 46 个, 白骨壤林 50 个, 人工海桑林 50 个, 林中空地 14 个 2.2 样地调查 2006 年 9 月至 2007 年 1 月, 每隔一个半月调查一次, 共调查 4 次 ; 2007 年 1 月以后, 因林下一年生海桑幼苗存活数量很少, 故仅在 6 月和 9 月各进行 1 次调查记录样方所在的林型和样方内低于 1 m 的一年龄海桑幼苗和本地种苗的密度高度和盖度用卷尺测定每种幼苗的高度, 用目测法估测幼苗盖度, 用 GPS 定位仪测定天然林下每个样方距最近海桑母树 ( 果期开花结果 ) 的距离于 2006 年 11 月 2007 年 1 月和 6 月各选取 3 个天气晴朗的上午, 用照度计 (TES-1334A) 测定每个样方以及实时林外空地上的光照强度用连通器法确定每个样方的滩面高程 ( 陈鹭真, 2005) 方法是: 两根标杆中间连接一条细小透明塑料管, 灌满水, 将标杆插入两个相邻样点邻接处. 管内两液面在标杆上的高度差即是两个点的滩面高程差基准点滩面高程可由香港天文台提供的实时潮汐高度减去测得的实时潮水深度获得经测量, 所有样方的高程范围为 m( 黄海平均海平面, 下同 ) 2.3 数据分析应用统计软件 SigmaPlot 10.0 (for Windows) 和 SPSS 11.0 (for Windows) 对数据进行处理对每次调

4 第 3 期曾雪琴等 : 深圳湾引种红树植物海桑的幼苗发生和扩散格局的生态响应 239 查的不同群落下海桑幼苗的密度高度和盖度, 及海桑幼苗与其他红树幼苗的同一测定指标分别进行比较和差异显著性分析 (One-way ANOVA, LSD 法 ); 对 6 次测定的不同群落类型中海桑幼苗的密度进行重复测量方差分析 (Repeated measure ANOVA); 对滩面高程扩散距离光照强度等生态因子与幼苗密度进行回归分析 3 结果 3.1 海桑幼苗在不同群落类型中的更新状况调查结果表明 : 在距离海桑母树 700 m 以外的天然红树林下仍有海桑幼苗的分布其中海桑林林中空地的海桑幼苗密度高度和盖度显著高于 3 种红树林下和林缘光滩 ( 偶见海桑幼苗 ), 但在 3 种林型之间差异不显著从表 1 可见 : 不同群落类型和不同测定时间的海桑幼苗密度都有极显著差异, 且时间和群落类型之间存在显著的交互作用如图 3 所示, 3 种红树林下海桑幼苗平均密度在 2006 年 9 月高达 23.6±3.3 棵 /m 2, 其中天然林中平均为 24.7±5.7 棵 /m 2, 人工海桑林中为 19.7±4.3 棵 /m 2 ; 而后逐渐减少, 到了 11 月显著下降到 4.97±1.28 棵 /m 2, 减少了 78.9%; 到了 2007 年 1 月, 已减少到 0.70±0.18 棵 /m 2 ; 至 2007 年 9 月全部死亡海桑林林中空地 2006 年 9 月的海桑幼苗平均密度高达 69.8±24.0 棵 /m 2, 到 2007 年 1 月减少了 49.4%, 而到 2007 年 9 月仍保持为 25.6±8.40 棵 /m 2 林中空地海桑幼苗的平均高度 2006 年 9 12 月间从 10.0±0.6 cm 逐渐增加到 26.8±3.9 cm; 到了 2007 年 1 月却下降到 9.38±2.15 cm, 叶子所剩无几, 并出现了枯顶现象 ; 到 2007 年 9 月却又迅速增长到 130±16.5 cm, 平均盖度高达 91±9.2% 3.2 海桑幼苗与其他红树植物幼苗的种间竞争前 3 次调查中, 海桑幼苗密度均显著高于其他红树植物 (P<0.05), 在前 4 次调查中, 各种林型下其他红树植物的幼苗密度均小于 5 棵 /m 2 ( 图 4) 林下不同种红树植物幼苗的平均高度差异也很大, 平均盖度均不超过 5% 逐步回归分析表明( 表 2): 海桑幼苗密度与其他红树植物幼苗的密度在 2006 年 9 月第一次调查中存在显著的相关性 (P<0.05), 但 R 2 较小 ( 最大为 0.054)( 表 2), 其他测定时间两者相关性不显著图 2 深圳市月均温 (2006 年 8 月至 2007 年 9 月 ) 与历史同期均温 ( 年 )( 来自深圳市气象局 Fig. 2 Average monthly temperatures during the study period from Aug to Sep and average monthly temperatures of the same months from in Shenzhen (data from Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau. com.cn) 表 1 不同群落类型中海桑幼苗密度的重复测量方差分析结果 Table 1 Repeated measures ANOVA for the seedling density of Sonneratia caseolaris in different mangrove communities 变异来源 Sources of variation 自由度 df F P 时间 Time 林型 Forest type 时间林型 Time Forest type 滩面高程扩散距离光照强度与海桑幼苗分布深圳湾滩面高程在 m 之间变化, 海桑幼苗密度高的区域主要集中在滩面高程 m 之间, 属于中高潮滩, 而且在整个调查过程中始终保持着密度上的优势 ( 图 5) 除了第一次调查外, 天然林中的海桑幼苗密度与滩面高程都达到显著负相关 (R 2 在之间, P < 0.05) 天然红树林下 ( 包括白骨壤林和秋茄林 ) 海桑幼苗扩散距离与幼苗密度呈显著负相关 ( 图 6), 特别是在第一次调查中, R 2 高达 0.30 在天然林下海桑幼苗密度与光照强度的相关性未达到显著水平 (P>0.05)( 表 3), 而在人工海桑林下的海桑幼苗密度随着林下光照强度的增强呈线性增加, 相关程度随着海桑幼苗的生长呈增加趋势 ( 前 4 次调查中 R 2 分别为 0.160, 0.267, 0.369, 0.364)

8 第 3 期曾雪琴等 : 深圳湾引种红树植物海桑的幼苗发生和扩散格局的生态响应 243 表 4 海桑人工林天然林下海桑幼苗密度与主要生态因子的回归分析结果 Table 4 Multiple regressions between the seedlings densities of Sonneratia caseolaris and key ecological factors under introduced Sonneratia caseolaris forest and natural forest 林型 Forest type 天然林 Natural forest 测定时间 Measurement time 变量 Variables 偏回归系数 Partial regression coefficient 偏相关系数 Partial correlations 扩散距离 Dispersal distance t P 人工海桑林 Introduced S. caseolaris forest 滩面高程 Tidal elevation 扩散距离 Dispersal distance 扩散距离 Dispersal distance 滩面高程 Tidal elevation 扩散距离 Dispersal distance 光照强度 Light intensity 光照强度 Light intensity 光照强度 Light intensity 光照强度 Light intensity 度 ; 而红树林下海桑幼苗密度随调查时间逐次减少, 最后全部死亡再次证明海桑幼苗在郁闭度较高的红树林下存活的可能性很小, 而在一些光照条件好而水流缓和的局部小生境中有可能存活在深圳湾和香港米埔的红树林林窗中已经大量出现的海桑植株的自然更新就是因为这个原因 ( 王伯荪等, 2002) 竞争是物种对有限资源具有相同的需求而产生的个体间的相互作用 (Begon et al., 1986) 植物竞争强度随着其密度的增加而加剧 (Gough et al., 2002; Wu & Yu, 2004) 调查表明: 林下海桑幼苗与其他红树幼苗的密度除了第一次调查外均无显著相关性, 说明林下的生存空间对于各种红树植物幼苗的早期生长都是充足的但是, 由于林冠对光的阻挡, 大大限制了海桑幼苗的生长冠层的海桑白骨壤和秋茄成树与海桑幼苗之间存在着对光资源的竞争不同种类的红树植物根据耐淹程度的不同, 天然分布在不同高程的滩涂上 ( 林鹏, 1997; 陈鹭真等, 2006) 调查发现: 深圳湾的海桑幼苗集中分布在 m 的高程范围内, 幼苗密度与滩面高程具有显著的负相关, 但是相关系数较小 (R 2 在之间 ), 说明滩面高程对海桑幼苗密度影响较小这可能由于 : (1) 深圳湾的滩面落差小, 其他生态因子比滩面高程对幼苗扩散的影响大得多 ; (2) 海桑是外缘裸滩的先锋树种, 在深圳湾表现出很强的生长优势, 环境适应力强, 分布范围广 ( 王伯荪等, 2002), 滩面高程对其分布格局的影响不显著逃逸假说 (Escape Hypothesis) 认为 : 母树附近的种子和幼苗因为容易受到捕食者寄生者以及病原体等的不利影响, 加上与母树存在着对相同资源的竞争, 往往具有很高的死亡率 ; 远离母树的种子的出苗成功率较高 (Howe & Smallwood, 1982) 天然红树林中的海桑幼苗扩散受到与母树距离的影响显著 : 离母树越远, 幼苗的密度越小 ( 图 6), 但在人工海桑林下, 海桑幼苗的平均密度没有因为种子供
