On the Influence of Islamic Revival over Feminist Movement in Turkey Li Yanzhi Abstract Islamic revival is a prominent phenomenon in contemporary Turkish society. Islamists strive for more freedom of choice for women by the process of abolishing ban on headscarf. Islamic parties win bigger discourse space for women through mobilization of woman s participation in political party and democratic election. Islamic non - governmental organizations expand the scope of the feminist by focusing on a variety of social problems faced by women. As companion of modernization process Islamic revival has to some extent boosted woman s rights awareness and thus has objectively promoted the development of the feminist movement in Turkey.
