It is co ncluded t hat t he space struct ure of tourism competitiveness around tourism cities in the Pearl River Delta present s a dumbbell2shaped pattern taking Guangzhou2Shenzhen as an axis and bi2 polar radiative spatial model1 It is suggested t hat different to urism cities can be ranked into different levels of cooperator or competitor in space struct ure by t heir relative or absolute advantages1 All t he above discussed laid t he foundations to f urt her explore a mut ually ben2 eficial win2win to urism co mpetitio n2cooperatio n mechanism fo r t he harmo nio us develop2 ment of tourism economy in t he Pearl River Delta1 Key words :The Pearl River Delta ; city ; tourism competitiveness ; space struct ure system
