Research I nstitute of the chinese History and cutture, Guangz hou, ) Abstract : Sishu in Sout h Song Dynasty was Sichuan in Nort h Song Dynasty, which had territo2 ries of t he two kingdoms - Ba and Shu, and t he two district s - Shujun and Bajun since t he Qin dynas2 ty. During the Five Dynasities and Ten States,Shuhad become t he appellation of t he Sichuan which was accepted by the Song Dynasty. Besides, in South Song Dynasty,Sishuhad it s own char2 acters. First, it was t he Chuanxiasilu in district ; second, it was Sianf ushi and Sidutongzhi on t he set2 up of government. All of these were represented in the literat ure recordation of Sout h Song Dynasty. So we should take it as a term when p unctuating t he wordsishu. Key words : South Song Dynasty ; Shu ; Sichuan ; Sishu ( 96 ) A Textual Research on the Location of Panyu County s government in Song Dynasty Wu Ho ngqi ( History Department, J inan Universit y, Guangz hou, ) Abstract : According to t he caref ul text ual research of the related historical documentaries, I con2 sider t he Panyu county was once saved and incorporated in t he year 972 A. D.. In order to strengt hen t he develop ment and administration of sandy farmland,t he Panyu county was settled anew in t he year 1051 A. D.,and t he location of t he Panyu county s government was in Zini. Now, Zini is in t he sout h2 west of the Panyu area of Guangzhou. Out of consideration of defence of Guangzhou City,t he Panyu Couty was settled to Chini Alley in t he year 1069 A. D.. Now,Chini Alley is in t he area around t he Cangbian Road of Guangzho u. Correspo nding to above2mentio ned, I co nsider t hat t he Xiangshan County and Shunde County,which had respenctively been settled anew in Sout hern Song dynasty and Ming dynasty,were the necessary result of the government s f urther harmonization of t he relation2 ship between t he develop ment of Pearl River Delta s sandy farmland and t he defence of Guangzhou City.
