If Chinese Testing International considers a modification to be a significant change, it has the right to reject such modifications. *After changing his/her information, the test taker needs to reprint his/her Test Admission Ticket or contact the test center to request a new ticket. 6.Modification of Registration Information Before making payment, the test taker can modify information concerning test dates and personal information or cancel test reservation with no restrictions. If the date, subject or seat does not meet the test taker s requirements, he/she may cancel the modification or cancel the test registration. 3)Deadline and Fees for Modification ① Before the deadline for test registration (including the day of the deadline): Test Registration And Payment the test taker can apply for any modification free of charge. If the test taker has printed the Test Admission Ticket, he/she will have to print a new Test Admission Ticket after changing his/her personal information. ② After the deadline for test registration up until 10 days before the test (including the 10th day): if modifications are made during this period, the test taker will be required to pay a service fee equal to 30% of the test fee. ③ Within 10 days of the test date: no modification will be permitted. Note: The registered test location (test center) and the test subject (level) cannot be changed. 7.Registration Cancellation And Refund If the test taker has not paid the test fee by the registration deadline, he/she may cancel the test registration. But if the test taker has not paid the test fee after the registration deadline, his/her test registration will be automatically canceled. All test takers in all test rooms shall take the test simultaneously, following the instructions of the test examiner. In the listening section, an audio recording will be played, with questions on the test paper. In other sections, all test content appear only on the test paper. Test takers should fill in all the answers on the Answer Sheet. 2)Speaking Test In the YCT speaking tests of all levels, test takers shall provide their answers aloud. All answers will be recorded. All test takers will take the test simultaneously, following the instructions of the test examiner. During the speaking test, an audio recording will be played with the questions on the test paper. 46 考生手册 6.Unusual Circumstances While Taking The Test 1)If the test taker is subjected to unfair treatment due to bad management such as insufficient test time, damage to the test paper or test facilities in the test room, and situation cannot be rectified by the test examiner, resulting in the test taker failure to complete the test, Chinese Testing International will arrange a re-test for the test taker for free as soon as possible. However, Chinese Testing International and the test center shall not make compensation for any indirect losses. 2)If the test cannot be conducted or completed as planned due to force majeure Preparation For The Test And Test Regulations such as natural disasters and accidents, Chinese Testing International will organize a re-test for test takers as soon as possible or provide a full refund, but shall not make compensation for any indirect losses. 7.Test-Takers with Special Needs Special services can be offered to test takers with certain disabilities whose Chinese language abilities meet YCT standards. These test takers should contact Chinese Testing International and the test centers they choose in advance so that arrangements can be made. 8.Absence From The Test If the test taker is absent from the test on the test date due to personal reasons, Chinese Testing International will not be responsible for arranging a re-test for the test taker, and the test fee shall not be refunded. 9.Violation and Punishment Chinese Testing International must ensure the fairness and objectiveness of YCT tests, and make sure that the test accurately reflects the test takers abilities in Chinese language. If any test taker cheat by hiring a proxy to take the test, plagiarizing, bringing notes to the test room, steal glances at relevant materialor disobeying reasonable directions given by the test examiner during the test, Chinese Testing International has the right to invalidate the test taker s score. 42

The full score of the test is 200 points, with each section accounting for 100 points. A total score of 120 or above will be deemed as passing for the test. If the test taker wishes to request an additional score report, or if he/she has lost his/her score report, he/she can apply for an additional score report within two years after the test. When applying for an additional score report, the test taker needs to pay a service fee and postage in advance. Only online applications submitted through www. chinesetesting.cn will be processed. After submitting the application online, the test taker shall pay the fee in a timely manner. Chinese Testing International will produce and send the additional score report to the applicant within 20 days after receiving the application, related fee and postage. Note: The word 副本 or COPY will be printed on the additional score report. This report is as effective as the original result report. 2)Score Report Correction Service Upon receiving the score report provided by Chinese Testing International, if the test taker finds that his/her personal information is incorrect and wants to receive a new score report with the correct information, he/she can submit an application to Chinese Testing International.
