Dialogue Model between Islamism and Catholicism in China A New Research on Confrontation on Rationality XIAO Qing - he WEN Ying - jie In 1865 when MA De - xin the leader of Yunnan Muslims read the Catholic writings Discussing on Learning in Sanshan and Self - Arguments on the True Way which were presented by Jean Joseph Fenouil who was a Priest of Yunnan Diocese he wrote two letters to express his understandings and incredulities. Then MA published the letters as a book named Confrontation on Rationality so as to disclose the first case between Islamism and Catholicism. He was well known as the first man of dialogue between Islam and Catholic in modern China. It may be helpful to religious dialogues in China today. A Study on CHENG Bing - zhao s Biography and Writings ZHANG Zhen - guo CHENG Bing - zhao was a famous scholar in the late Qing Dynasty who was born in Jixi. He gained the respect of XU Shi - chang CAI Yuan - pei and HU Shi. According to his manuscript such as The Anthology of Gongxue Zhai we can deduce that he was born in There are quite a few manuscripts preserved in the world besides his woodblock works The poems in Qiongzhou.
