22 our STORY Conceptualized in 2017 by Justin Birmingham, we are bringing traditional American BAR-B-QUE to Shanghai. The journey began when Justin toured Tennessee, Kentucky, Kansas City, and Texas, the Bar-B-Que meccas of the world, and the home of Kentucky Bourbon Whisky. In Memphis, Bar-B-Que become well-known due to the World Championship Bar-B-Que contest and has been listed in the Guinness World Records as the largest Bar-B-Que contest in the world. It was here that JB crafted and perfected his own classic Southern American style of dry rubs, smoking techniques, and unique Bar-B-Que recipes. The Bourbon Cookhouse has distilled decades of knowledge and experience into an irresistible selection of dishes. Everything on our menu is handled with tender loving care. Our imported USDA meats and seafood are dry rubbed and smoked over 24 hours. The BAR-B-QUE is slowly smoked to perfection with apple, cherry, hickory wood, then grilled over charcoal, finished with our secret HOUSE MOP sauce. The result are briskets, pork shoulders, and ribs brimming with texture, a mouthwatering taste, and a juicy tenderness that you simply won t forget.
