I am delighted to hear that Methodist College is organising a Mentoring Programme to help the Form 4 to Form 6 students to have a more enriched experience in addition to their academic study. I think this programme will benefit a lot of students who may be looking for guidance from different people other than their own parents and teachers (Other Learning Experience). I was once a mentee where I worked, and the insight provided by the mentor proved to be invaluable in my choice of career path. I consider myself very lucky to be educated by some of the most dedicated educators in Methodist College when I was there, and as an alumnus of Methodist College, Class of 1969, I am willing to be a mentor as a way to give back to my alma mater. (1969) We have the privilege to be the host/mentor of our young Methodist schoolmates in Toronto for 10 days. These 10 days have enlightened us tremendously and have added a colourful page in our lives. The four young and wonderful girls have managed to help us to think younger and to act younger. We hope that the life experience we shared with them has helped them to think and act beyond their day to day paradigm, and has made a tiny push to lead them to a fruitful and happy life in the future.
