The field of finance, including the accounting track, encompasses a broad set of topics, such as asset pricing, corporate finance, financial intermediaries, market microstructure, behavioral finance, FinTech, accounting information in decision making, disclosure, corporate governance, information intermediaries, contracting role of accounting, China capital markets, emerging technologies and accounting, and related domains. Our target students may have a wide range of backgrounds, but should have a strong interest in finance/accounting and generally have completed undergraduate-level courses in economics, statistics, and calculus.
