Un buon inizio dura tutta la vita I primi mille giorni di vita (la gravidanza e i primi due anni di vita) sono importantissimi per lo sviluppo e la crescita e sono fondamentali per stare in salute lungo il corso di tutta la vita. L evidenza scientifica dimostra come alcuni fattori e condizioni ambientali siano elementi determinanti del futuro stato di salute della persona, e in particolare del suo sviluppo intellettivo, linguistico, emotivo e relazionale: l 80% del cervello si forma nei primi mille giorni. Per crescere bene insieme sono importanti alcune attività, come: ascoltare buona musica, perché sviluppa capacità di attenzione, di memoria, di espressione e creatività; sentirvi leggere un libro o raccontare storie ad alta voce gli insegna a osservare, a parlare, a fantasticare; è un attività coinvolgente che arricchisce il suo vocabolario; giocare e fare attività motorie, anche in acqua: cercate spazi e luoghi all aperto dove il vostro bambino possa correre, saltare, arrampicarsi! Anche il contatto con l acqua già dai primi mesi rappresenta una straordinaria esperienza di gioco e di libertà; incontrare altri bambini e famiglie, perché la socializzazione influisce sul benessere presente e sullo sviluppo futuro dei piccoli ed è un sostegno per voi giovani genitori. Non è mai troppo presto per incoraggiare vostro figlio a giocare con altri bambini, specialmente se è figlio unico! sulla relazione e sul comportamento, sullo sviluppo cognitivo e sociale, sullo sviluppo delle difese immunitarie. A good start lasts a lifetime The first thousand days of life (pregnancy and first two years of life) are very important for development and growth and are fundamental to stay healthy during the whole lifetime. The scientific evidence shows as many factors and environmental conditions are determinant elements of the future person s health, particularly of his/her intellectual, linguistic, emotional and relational development: 80% of brain shapes during the first thousand days. Some activities are very important to grow well together: listening to music, because it develops attention, memory, expression and creativity skills; hearing you reading a book or telling a story out loud teaches him/her to observe, to speak, to dream; it is a captivating activity which enriches his/her vocabulary; playing and doing physical activities, including with water: look for places and spaces outdoor where your child can run, jump, climb! Even the contact with the water since the first days represents an extraordinary experience of play and freedom; meeting other children and families, because socialization affects his/her present wellbeing and his/her future development and it is a support for you young parents. It is never too late to encourage your child to play with other children, especially if he/she is an only child! their cognitive and social development, on their immunitary defenses development. The system of the service for the early childhood of the city of Brescia described in the following pages develops focusing on the research and the experimentation of effective and appropriate answers about the peculiarity of the children and families needs in this delicate and charming phase of life. Servizi per la prima infanzia a Brescia Tempi per le famiglie I Tempi per le famiglie sono spazi dedicati al gioco e alla socializzazione e si caratterizzano per essere luoghi che accolgono bambini e genitori insieme. Si rivolgono ai bambini da 3 mesi a 3 anni e agli adulti che li accompagnano (genitori, nonni, baby sitter etc.). Per i bambini è una opportunità per giocare e fare esperienze di socialità, quali: il gioco libero; esperienze e attività di laboratorio (con la farina, didò, creta, colori, acqua etc.); lettura ad alta voce, con libri tattili, cartonati e illustrati; canti, ascolto di musica, filastrocche e balli. Per gli adulti è un occasione speciale per vivere dei momenti di qualità con i bambini e una possibilità di incontro-confronto con altri adulti, impegnati come loro nel compito della crescita di bambini piccoli. Sono servizi che possono contare sulla presenza di educatrici preparate e disponibili all ascolto e all accoglienza di grandi e piccoli. Nidi di infanzia Consultori familiari I Nidi sono servizi rivolti alle famiglie con bambini dai 3 mesi ai 3 anni. Hanno un valore educativo e sociale fondamentale perché promuovono la cura, la crescita e il benessere dei piccoli in stretta collaborazione con la famiglia. Offrono ai bambini proposte di gioco, momenti di socializzazione e di apprendimento. Possono contare su persone qualificate che si prendono cura dei bambini, li sanno accogliere e far sentire unici. Sono luoghi di vita e di relazione in cui ogni famiglia può trovare ascolto e sostegno rispetto alla crescita dei propri figli. Le strutture possono essere comunali, private accreditate con posti in convenzione, o totalmente private. Costo indicativo al mese* In base all ISEE, minimo 107 euro massimo 535 euro. *Negli ultimi due anni la misura regionale Nidi gratis ha garantito la frequenza gratuita per le famiglie con ISEE inferiore a 20.000 euro. Vengono erogate numerose prestazioni e percorsi assistenziali, garantendo, a seconda delle situazioni, l integrazione fra gli operatori. In particolare, nel percorso dei primi mille giorni di vita, sono a disposizione: percorso nascita; consulenza e assistenza alla gravidanza fisiologica; consulenza e assistenza alla gravidanza a rischio; corsi di accompagnamento alla nascita; assistenza a domicilio a mamma e neonato dopo il parto (Servizio di Dimissione protetta); consulenza e incontri di gruppo dopo parto; sostegno alla genitorialità. Services for the early childhood in Brescia Tempi per le famiglie Tempi per le famiglie are places dedicated to playtime and socialization and they are characterized by being places which host children and parents together. They speak to children from 3 months to 3 years old and the adults who come with them (parents, grandparents, baby sitter, and so on). For the children it is an opportunity to play and make social experiences, as: free play; lab experiences and activities (with flour, play-doh, clay, colours, water, and so on); out loud reading, with tactile, hardback and drawn books; carols, music, nursery rhymes and dances. For adults it is a special opportunity to live quality moments with their children and a chance to meet and confront with other adults also committed in the growing up of small children. These are services that can count on the presence of educators prepared and available for listening and hosting adults and children. It is possible to attend for a few hours a day, twice a week or more. These are dedicated to Comune di Brescia s children who do not attend nursery schools. Annual cost Between 60 and 100 euros. Nidi di infanzia Consultori familiari Nidi are services dedicated to the families with children from 3 months to 3 years old. They have a fundamental educational and social value promoting care, growth and healthcare of babies, working strictly together with families. They offer playtimes, socialization and learning moments to children. They can count on qualified people who take care of children and know how to welcome them and make them feel unique. They are places of life and relations in which each family can be heard and find support for children s growth. The facilities could be municipal or private ones accredited, in agreement with specific places, or completely private. Approximate cost per month* Based on the ISEE, minimum 107 euros maximum 535 euros. * During the last two years the regional measure Nidi gratis guaranteed the free attendance for families with an ISEE lower than 20.000 euros. Particularly, during the first 1000 days of life, are available: growing path; physiological pregnancy advice and support; risky pregnancy advice and support; accompanying birth courses; mum and child house assistance after the birth (Protected Release Service); advice and group meeting after the birth; parenthood support.
