The appliance can be used up to an altitude of 4000 m. For your safety, this appliance complies with the safety regulations and directives in effect at the time of manufacture (Low-voltage Directive, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Food Contact Materials Regulations, Environment ). Check that the power supply voltage corresponds to that shown on the appliance (alternating current). CONNECTING TO THE POWER SUPPLY Do not use the appliance if: the appliance or the cord is damaged the appliance has fallen or shows visible damage or does not work properly In the event of the above, the appliance must be sent to an approved Service Centre. Do not take the appliance apart yourself. Do not leave the cord hanging. Always plug the appliance into an earthed socket. Do not use an extension cord. If you accept liability for doing so, only use an extension cord which is in good condition, has an earthed plug and is suited to the power of the appliance. USING Use a flat, stable, heat-resistant work surface away from any water splashes. Do not allow the base of the appliance to come into contact with water. Never try to operate the appliance when the bowl is empty or without the bowl. The cooking function/knob must be allowed to operate freely. Do not prevent or obstruct the function from automatically changing to the keep warm function. Do not remove the bowl while the appliance is working. Do not put the appliance directly onto a hot surface, or any other source of heat or flame, as it will cause a failure or danger. The bowl and the heating plate should be in direct contact. Any object or food inserted between these two parts would interfere the correct operation. Do not place the appliance near a heat source or in a hot oven, as serious damage could result. Do not put any food or water into the appliance until the bowl is in place. Respect the levels indicated in the recipes. Should any part of your appliance catch fire, do not attempt to put it out with water. To smother the flames use a damp teatowel. Any intervention should only be made by a service centre with original spare parts. PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT Your appliance has been designed to run for many years. However, when you decide to replace it, remember to think about how you can contribute to protecting the environment. Before discarding your appliance you should remove the battery from the timer and dispose of it at a local civic waste collection centre (according to model). Environment protection first! Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled. Leave it at a local civic waste collection point. 8

Open the lid by pushing the opening button on the housing fig.1. Read the Instructions and carefully follow the operation method. Clean the appliance Remove the pot fig.2, the inner lid and the pressure valve fig.3a and 3b. 10

Clean the pot, the valve and the inner lid with a sponge and dishwashing liquid. Wipe the outside of the appliance and the lid with a damp cloth. Dry off carefully. Put all the elements back in their original position. Install the inner lid in the right position on the top lid of the machine. Put the inner lid behind the 2 ribs and push it on the top until it s fixed. Install the detachable cord into the socket on the cooker base. FOR THE APPLIANCE AND ALL FUNCTIONS Carefully wipe the outside of the pot (especially the bottom). Make sure that there is no foreign residue or liquid underneath the pot and on the heating element fig.5. The pot must be used only in this appliance. Never try to put it on other cooking appliance (induction hob). Place the pot into the appliance, making sure that it is correctly positioned fig.6. Make sure that the inner lid is correctly in position. Close the lid in place with a sound of a click. Install the power cord into the socket of the multicooker base and then plug into the power outlet. The appliance will ring two beeps, and all the indicators on the control box will light up for an instant. The rice cooking mode is set as the default cooking program. Do not touch the heating element when the product is plugged or after cooking. Do not carry the product in use or just after cooking. This appliance is only intended for INDOOR/HOUSEHOLD USE. If you want to cancel or add a beep sound, press Menu key for 5 seconds. Even if beep sound is cancelled, the beep for start and end of cooking will always occur. If you want to cancel the automatic keep warm before cooking, press Keep Warm key for 5 seconds. If you want to change the time and temperature setting during the cooking, press Temperature/Cooking time key and rechoose your time and temperature by pressing < and >. After 5 seconds without any action, the rice cooker will start cooking according to the new setting. You can stop the cooking by a short press on Start/Stop key. If you want to switch off your rice cooker, press and hold the Start/Stop key. Press any key to switch on your appliance. EN 11

Never place your hand on the steam vent during cooking, as there is a danger of burning fig.10. If the cooking process has started and you wish to change the selected cooking menu because of an error, press the KEEP WARM/CANCEL key and re-choose the menu you want. Only use the inner pot provided with the appliance. Do not pour water or put ingredients in the appliance without the pot inside. The maximum quantity of water + ingredients should not exceed the highest mark inside the pot fig.7. Distribute the rice evenly in the cooking pot. Fill it with water to the corresponding water level (The graduations marked is in cups). When the rice is ready and the keep warm indicator light is on, stir the rice and then leave it in the rice cooker for a few minutes longer in order to get perfect rice with separated grains. For Hard texture reduce the quantity of water. MENU KEY When the appliance is plugged in, the rice cooker is on rice cooking function. When you press Menu key, the rice cooker selects the Clay pot function. After DIY, you will return to the rice function. RICE COOKING FUNCTION: RICE TYPE / RICE TEXTURE KEYS Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant work surface away from water splashes and any other sources of heat. The rice function is set as the default function when the appliance is plugged in and turned on. The screen displays and the light of Start/Stop and Keep warm/cancel flicker. Pour the required quantity of rice into the pot using the measuring cup provided fig.8. Then fill with cold water up to the corresponding CUP mark printed in the pot fig.9. Close the lid. Note: Always add the rice first otherwise you will have too much water. A type of rice can be selected for rice cooking function: Japanese rice, White rice, Sticky rice and Brown rice. Press the Rice type/rice texture key to enter the rice type selection. Then press < and > to choose the desired type of rice. The text will flash accordingly. The default rice type is White rice if you do not set one. If you need to change the rice texture, press again the Rice type/rice texture key to enter into rice texture selection. Press < and > to change the rice texture. A texture of rice can be selected for rice cooking functions: Soft, Normal, Hard, Crispy and Quick. For Brown rice, only normal texture is available. The default rice texture is Normal if you do not set one. Press Start/Stop key, the rice cooker enters into Rice cooking status, the light of Start lights up, the screen flickers. The Automatic cooking pictogram lights up. At the end of cooking, the buzzer will ring several. The rice cooker will enter keep warm status with the Keep Warm indicator turning on and the screen will start to count the time of keeping warm. Note: If you select Hard rice texture, it is recommended to reduce the quantity of water. For example: pour cold water to the mark of 9 cups instead of 10. EN 15

CLAYPOT FUNCTION This function has 2 steps of cooking. First step is to stir fry meat and/or vegetables Second step is an automatic rice cooking Press the menu key to select the Clay Pot function. The screen will show the default time and default temperature of the first step of cooking, the light of Start/Stop and Keep Warm/Cancel flicker. If needed, press Temperature/Cooking time key to activate the time setting function of stir fry and then press < and > to change the cooking time. Press again Temperature/Cooking time to change the temperature by pressing < and >. Then press Start/Stop key. The rice cooker enters into Clay pot cooking status with the light of Start/ Stop lighting up and the screen displaying the remaining cooking time and the cooking temperature. At the end of stir fry, the rice cooker will beep several times, the light of Start/Stop flickers and the screen displays. Then put the rice in the bowl, close the lid and press the Start/Stop key. The rice cooker will enter into automatic rice cooking status. The light of Start/Stop lights up, the flickers and the Automatic cooking time pictogram lights up. At the end of cooking, the buzzer will ring several beeps, the rice cooker will enter keep warm status with the Keep Warm indicator turning on and the screen will start to count the time of keeping warm. Note: If you use brown rice, it is recommended to soak the rice in hot water for 45 minutes before cooking it. CONGEE FUNCTION Press the Menu key to select the Congee function. The screen displays the default cooking time, and the light of Start/Stop flickers red. The light of Keep warm/cancel flickers green. The light of Congee lights on. Press the Temperature/Cooking time key to active the time setting function and then press < and > to change the cooking time. You cannot change the cooking temperature for this function. Press the Start/Stop key. The rice cooker enters into Congee cooking status with the light of Start/Stop lighting up and the screen displaying the remaining cooking time and the Automatic cooking time pictogram lights up. 16

At the end of cooking, the buzzer will ring several beeps, the rice cooker will enter keep warm status with the Keep Warm indicator turning on and the screen will start to count the time of keeping warm. OATMEAL FUNCTION Press the Menu key to select the Oatmeal function. The screen displays the default cooking time, the light of Start/Stop flickers red. The light of Keep warm/cancel flickers green. The light of Oatmeal lights on. Press the Temperature/Cooking time key to activate the time setting function and then press < and > to change the cooking time. You cannot change the cooking temperature for this function. Press the Start/Stop key. The rice cooker enters into Oatmeal cooking status with the light of Start/Stop lighting up and the screen displaying the remaining cooking time and the Automatic cooking time pictogram lights up. At the end of cooking, the buzzer will ring several beeps, the rice cooker will enter keep warm status with the Keep Warm indicator turning on and the screen will start to count the time of keeping warm. PASTA FUNCTION During the pasta function the lid must remain open. To cook pasta it is important to wait until the water reaches the right temperature before adding pasta. Press the Menu key to select the Pasta function. The screen displays the default cooking time, the light of Start/Stop flickers red and the light of Keep warm/cancel flickers green. Press the Temperature/Cooking time key to active the time setting function and then press < and > to change the pasta cooking time. Press the Start/Stop key. The multicooker enters into Pasta cooking status, the light of Start/Stop lights up and the screen displays the remaining time. The lid must be closed while the water is boiling. The multicooker beeps when the water is at the right temperature. Put pasta into the water, let the lid open and press again Start/Stop key to start timer. If the user does not press the Start/Stop key the cooking time does not start and the multicooker keeps the water at the same temperature. At the end of cooking, the buzzer will beep. Automatic keep warm is not available for Pasta function. 17 EN

At the end of cooking, the buzzer will ring several beeps, the rice cooker will enter keep warm status with the Keep Warm indicator turning on and the screen will start to count the time of keeping warm. CAUTION The cold food should not exceed 1/2 of the Multicooker s volume. Too much food cannot be thoroughly heated. Repeated use of Reheat or too little food will lead to burnt food and a hard layer on the bottom of the pot. It is recommended not to reheat thick porridge, or it may become pasty. Do not reheat long-stored cold food to avoid smell. It is recommended to stir the food during reheat. DIY FUNCTION Press the Menu key to select the DIY function and the rice cooker will first enter DIY setting status with the screen displaying the default cooking time and the cooking temperature, and the light of Start/Stop flickers red and the light of Keep warm/cancel flickers green. You can adjust a constant temperature level and cooking time if needed. Press Temperature/Cooking time key to activate the time setting function and then press < and > to change the cooking time. Press again Temperature/Cooking time to change the temperature by pressing < and >. Press the Start/Stop key. The rice cooker enters into DIY cooking status with the light of Start/Stop lighting up and the screen displaying the remaining cooking time and the cooking temperature. At the end of cooking, the buzzer will ring several beeps. 20

Note: The rice cooker can memorize the last temperature and cooking time DIY setting for your next use. After a simultaneous long press on both < and > the rice cooker beeps and returns to the default temperature and default cooking time. To protect the appliance, there is a temperature/time setting restriction in the DIY function: Between 40-100 C, the cooking time range is 5min -9h Between 110-160 C, the cooking time range is 5min -2h KEEP WARM/CANCEL FUNCTION Press the Keep warm/cancel key under standby status, the light of Keep warm/cancel lights up, the screen shows 00:00 and the screen will start to count the time of keeping warm. Press the Keep warm/cancel key under the function setting or cooking status will cancel all setting data and switch to standby status. You can remove the automatic keep warm for the next cooking only by pressing the Keep warm/cancel key for 5 seconds. The light of Keep warm/cancel will turn off. If you want to set automatic keep warm, press the key again for 5 seconds. Recommendation: to have the best tasting food, please limit the keep warm to under 12 hours. DELAYED START FUNCTION The preset time corresponds to the time for end of cooking. This function is available for all functions except Clay pot. To use the Delayed Start function, choose a cooking program and the cooking time first. Then, press the key Delayed Start and choose the delayed time. Each press of < and > key can increase or decrease delayed start time. The default preset time will change depending on the selected cooking time. The Range of preset is from 1 to 24 hours. When you have chosen the required preset time, press the Start/Stop key to enter cooking status, the light of Start/Stop lights up and screen will display the number of time you have chosen and preset pictogram lights up. When the preset pictogram disappears, the rice cooker enters into cooking status. EN 21

Serve the food using the spoon provided with your appliance and reclose the lid. 24 hours is the maximum keep warm time. Press Keep warm/cancel to stop the keep warm status. Unplug the appliance. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Ensure the rice cooker is unplugged and completely cooled down before cleaning and maintenance. It is strongly advised to clean the appliance after each use with a sponge fig.12. The pot, the steam basket, the inner lid, the cup and the rice and soup spoons are dishwasher safe fig.13. Pot, steam basket Scouring powders and metal sponges are not recommended. If food has stuck to the bottom, you may put water in the pot to soak for a while before washing. Dry the pot carefully. Taking care of the pot For the pot, carefully follow the instructions below: To ensure the maintenance of pot quality, it is recommended not to cut food in it. Make sure you put the pot back into the rice cooker. Use the plastic spoon provided or a wooden spoon and not a metal utensil to avoid damaging the pot surface fig.14. To avoid any risk of corrosion, do not pour vinegar into the pot. The color of the pot surface may change after using for the first time or after longer use. This change in color is due to the action of steam and water and does not have any effect on the use of the rice cooker, nor is it dangerous for your health. Cleaning the micro pressure valve When cleaning the micro-pressure valve, please remove it from the lid fig.15 and open it by rotating in the direction of open fig.16a and 16b. After cleaning it, please wipe it dry and meet the two triangles in the two parts together and rotate it in the direction of close, then put it back onto the lid of the rice cooker fig.17a and 17b. Cleaning and care of the other parts of the appliance Clean the outside of the Rice Cooker fig.18, the inside of the lid and the cord with a damp cloth and wipe dry. Do not use abrasive products. Do not use water to clean the interior of the appliance body as it could damage the heat sensor. TECHNICAL TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE EN Malfunction description Any indicator lamp off and no heating. 34 Nettoyage de l appareil Enlevez la cuve schéma 2, le couvercle interne et la valve de pression schémas 3a et 3b. Nettoyez la cuve, la valve et le couvercle interne avec une éponge et du détergent à vaisselle. Essuyez les surfaces externes de l'appareil et le couvercle avec un chiffon humide. Essuyez-les soigneusement. Replacez tous les éléments dans leur position initiale. Installez le couvercle interne en bonne position sur le couvercle supérieur de l'appareil. Placez le couvercle interne derrière les deux loquets et poussez-le jusqu'à ce qu'il soit fixé. Branchez le cordon amovible sur la prise située sur la base du cuiseur. INSTRUCTIONS D'UTILISATION DE L'APPAREIL ET DES FONCTIONS Essuyez soigneusement l'extérieur de la cuve (surtout le fond). Assurezvous qu'il n'y a aucun résidu étranger ou liquide restant sous la cuve et sur l'élément chauffant schéma 5. La cuve doit être uniquement utilisée dans cet appareil. N'essayez jamais de l'utiliser sur un autre appareil de cuisson (plaque à induction). Placez la cuve dans l'appareil en vous assurant qu'elle est correctement positionnée schéma 6. Assurez-vous que le couvercle interne est correctement fixé en position. Refermez le couvercle et veillez à ce qu il s'enclenche avec un déclic. Branchez la fiche du cordon d alimentation sur le multicuiseur et la prise de l adaptateur sur une prise murale électrique. L'appareil émettra deux «bips» sonores et tous les indicateurs du panneau de commande s'allumeront un instant. Le mode de cuisson du riz est réglé comme programme de cuisson par défaut. Ne touchez pas l'élément chauffant lorsque le produit est branché à l'alimentation ou après la cuisson. Ne déplacez pas l'appareil lorsqu'il est en marche ou juste après la cuisson. Cet appareil est uniquement conçu pour une utilisation DOMESTIQUE À L INTÉRIEUR. Si vous désirez annuler ou ajouter un bip sonore, appuyez sur la touche «Menu» durant 5 secondes. Même si les «bips» sonores sont annulés, les «bips» du début et de la fin de cuisson seront toujours émis.

Si vous désirez annuler le maintien au chaud automatique avant la cuisson, appuyez sur la touche «Maintien au chaud» durant 5 secondes. Si vous voulez changer la durée et le réglage de la température au cours de la cuisson, appuyez sur la touche «Température / Durée de cuisson» et réglez la durée et la température désirée en appuyant sur «<» et «>». Si aucune touche n'est pressée avant 5 secondes, le cuiseur à riz commencera la cuisson selon le nouveau réglage. Vous pouvez arrêter la cuisson à tout moment en appuyant brièvement sur la touche «Marche / Arrêt». RECOMMANDATIONS POUR RÉALISER LA MEILLEURE CUISSON DU RIZ Avant la cuisson, mesurez le riz avec un gobelet doseur et rincez-le avec de l'eau (remarque: ne rincez pas le riz pour faire du risotto). Étalez le riz uniformément dans la cuve de cuisson. Remplissez-la avec de l'eau au niveau d'eau correspondant (les graduations marquées correspondent au nombre de tasses). Lorsque le riz est prêt et que l'indicateur «Maintien au chaud» est allumé, remuez le riz, puis laissez-le dans le cuiseur pendant quelques minutes de plus afin d'obtenir un riz parfait avec des grains séparés.
