22 VDA VDA FQE FQE Field Quality Engineer VDA QM C Quality Management Center China VDA-QMC Quality Management Center China ID 633 VDA FQE Field Quality Engineer The VDA Volume Field Failure Analysis, published June 2009, describes a holistic approach for implementing capable failure analysis. In October 2011, the audit standard Field Failure Analysis created a further tool for unifying evaluation of the failure analysis process. In order to promote the implementation of these standards in practice, VDA QMC has decided to offer a standardized training for VDA Field Quality Engineer. The FQE is a specialist, who controls and monitors the failure analysis process and supports the internal and external inter faces with data analyses. OBJECTIVES Participants are introduced to a comprehensive understanding of the VDA standards. Ways and methods for implementation are communicated which ensure cooperation on a partnership basis throughout the supply chain in the failure elimination process CONTENTS + Cooperation of automotive manufacturers and suppliers in the supply chain in the failure elimination process (mindset) + Roles and interfaces of a Field Quality Engineer + Technical and commercial evaluation in the supply chain + Shop floor and service activities + Field data management (data collection, data evaluation and testing of hypotheses) + Failure analysis (additional notes on standard and stress tests, NTF guideline, planning of experiments, cooperation between automotive manufacturers and supply chain in the NTF process) + Definition, implementation and monitoring of actions as well as reporting DURATION 3 days TARGET AUDIENCE Executives and personnel from development, quality assurance, warranty, sales and other areas who want to acquire further qualification in complaints management, in field data analysis and failure analysis and failure elimination processes. This system for maturity level assurance describes a standard concept for cooperation and communication in complex product development projects with many parties involved in the supply chain. To this purpose, it provides a standard set of measured values and criteria with the corresponding methodology.
