21 Scene 2: 馬太 Matthew 26: 3-22 Evangelist: There assembled themselves the high priests and the scribes together, and the elders of the people within the palace of the chief priest, whose name was Caiphas; and there took counsel, how with stealth they might capture Jesus and put him to death. But when the disciples saw it, they were angry and said: 耶穌在伯大尼長大痲瘋的西門家裡 有一個女人 拿著一玉瓶極貴的香膏來 趁耶穌坐席的時候 澆在他的頭上 門徒看見 就很不喜悅 說 : Basses: Why this waste? For this ointment could have been sold for a large sum, and the money given to the poor. 何用這樣的枉費呢? 這香膏可以賣許多錢 賙濟窮人 Evangelist: But Jesus, aware of this, said to them: 耶穌看出他們的意思 就說 : Jesus: Why do you trouble the woman? She has performed a good service for me. For you always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me. By pouring this ointment on my body she has prepared me for burial. 22 Evangelist: Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said: 當下 十二門徒裡有一個稱為加略人猶大的 去見祭司長 說 : Judas: What will you give me if I betray him to you? 我把他交給你們 你們願意給我多少錢? Evangelist: They paid him thirty pieces of silver. 37 Scene 6: 馬太 Matthew 26: 43-60 Evangelist: Again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. So leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words. Then he came to the disciples and said to them: 又來見他們睡著了 因為他們的眼睛困倦 耶穌又離開他們去了. 第三次禱告 說的話還是與先前一樣 於是來到門徒那裡 對他們說 : Jesus: Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? 38 Evangelist: Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and arrested him. Suddenly, one of those with Jesus put his hand on his sword, drew it, and struck the slave of the high priest, cutting off his ear. Then Jesus said to him: 於是那些人上前 下手拿住耶穌 有跟隨耶穌的一個人 伸手拔出刀來 將大祭司的僕人砍了一刀 削掉了他一個耳朵 耶穌對他說 : Jesus: Put your sword back into its place; for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the scriptures be fulfilled, which say it must happen in this way? 收刀入鞘罷. 凡動刀的 必死在刀下 你想我不能求我父 現在為我差遣十二營多天使來麼? 若是這樣 經上所說 事情必須如此的話 怎麼應驗呢 Evangelist: At that hour Jesus said to the crowds: 當時 耶穌對眾人說 : Jesus: Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest me as though I were a bandit? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not arrest me. But all this has taken place, so that the scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled. 你們帶著刀棒 出來拿我 如同拿強盜麼? 我天天坐在殿裡教訓人 你們並沒有拿我 但這一切的事成就了 為要應驗先知書上的話 Evangelist: Then all the disciples deserted him and fled. Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas the high priest, in whose house the scribes and the elders had gathered. But Peter was following him at a distance, as far as the courtyard of the high priest; and going inside, he sat with the guards in order to see how this would end. Now the chief priests and the whole council were looking for false testimony against Jesus so that they might put him to death, but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. 當下 門徒都離開他逃走了 拿耶穌的人 把他帶到大祭司該亞法那裡去 文士和長老 已經在那裡聚會 彼得遠遠的跟著耶穌 直到大祭司的院子 進到裡面 就和差役同坐 要看這事到底怎樣 祭司長和全公會 尋找假見證 控告耶穌 要治死他 雖有好些人來作假見證 總得不著實據
