HKALL Staff and students can access the library resources of all University Grants Committee (UGC) funded libraries through the Hong Kong Academic Library Link (HKALL). JULAC Library Card JULAC Library Cards allow cardholders to have access to other UGC-funded libraries. There are two kinds of cards that provide borrowing or reading.

Research Commons It is a technology-rich space fully furnished with an IT zone, a Reference Reading Room, a Multipurpose Room, 9 Doctoral Study Rooms and 9 Group Study Rooms. Retrieval Service For special collections housed in branches, please contact branch libraries. For special collections housed in the University Library, most of the materials are for use in the Library only or are kept in closed stacks except for Chinese Overseas Collection. Closed stack materials are available on request at the Special Collections Reading Room. These materials include: * Archival Collections * Cultural Revolution Collection * Gao Xingjian Repository * HK Literature Closed Stack * HK Studies Closed Stack * Minguo Collection * Modern Chinese Drama Collection * Rare Books * UL Closed Stack The Special Collections Reading Room is located on the 3/F of the University Library. Barrier Free Facilities & Services The Service CUHK Library works closely with the Office of Student Affairs to provide a range of academic support facilities and services to users with specific needs.
