3 編目前的決定 RDA 2.1, 相同於 LCRI 1.0 發行方式 (mode of issuance) 及書目著錄來源 (source of information) 單件 (single unit): 整個資源 多件 (more than one part): 編號最小 或年代最早 或最能代表在編的資源 圖書
4 首選著錄來源 : 單冊書籍 RDA 2.2.2.2: 單頁或多頁 ( 或圖像 葉 張 卡片 ) 出版品 書名頁 書名頁的影像 (title pages, title sheets, leaves, etc., or images of pages) 封頁 封頁的影像 (cover) 標題頁 標題頁的影像 (caption) 書籍末的出版或版權頁或其影像 (colophon) 若無以上來源, 選用書內能正式代表出版資料處, 如 : 序 引言等
5 首選著錄來源 : 多冊書籍 正題名及著者 版本 出版描述根據第一冊 編號最小 最早發行 或手邊所有的最早一冊 如非根據第一冊來建立書目紀錄描述, 用欄位 500 或 588 登錄來源冊數 編號 或出版日期 如其他冊數上的書目資料與書目紀錄上的描述不同 如此資訊重要, 登錄於附註項
6 首選著錄來源 : 圖書 如無所列出的書目著錄來源, 則可用 ( 見 RDA 2.2.4): 1: 伴隨的資料 (accompanying materials), 如傳單 說明檔案 2: 包裝盒 (container) 3: 其它有關此資源的說明 (other published descriptions of the resource) 4: 其它資源 (any other available source): 如參考文獻 需用方括弧
7 欄位 245-250 (RDA 2.3-2.5) 不更正錯誤, 不用 [sic] 或 [i.e., ]; 用附註項及題名附加標目來說明 平行題名, 可從出版品內任何處得到, 不需用方括弧 第一著者敘述是核心元素, 不再用 AACR2 的 rule of 3 或 : 著錄第一名稱, 用方括弧記錄所省略的名稱數目, 例 [and nine others], 不再使用 [et al.] LC-PCC: 一般而言, 不刪減著者敘述 載錄所見, 不需縮寫或轉換數字
