S.6 Mock Examination (2014-2015) SA48/1415/065 8 th January, 2015 1. Examination Period S.6 Mock Examination will take place and from 27 th January, 2015 to 13 th February, 2015. The oral exams for both English Language and Chinese Language will be held on 20 th January, 2015. 2. Arrival Time On the dates specified in the examination time-table (see Appendix 1), students have to return to school 15 minutes before the examination commences and check the seating arrangement displayed at the entrance of the examination room. 3. Late Arrivals Students who arrive late but within half an hour of the start of the paper will be admitted, except for the listening tests and oral examinations for English Language and Chinese Language. No extra time will be given. 4. Early leave a) No early leaves are permitted in the examination. b) Students must not leave the school premises during the interval between examination sessions scheduled in the day unless they have sat all the examinations required of them. Students are allowed to leave school for lunch if they have to take an examination in the afternoon. 5. Request for Make-up Examination a) Make-up examinations may be arranged for those who fail to sit for the term/mock examination owing to one of the following: - (i) Sick leave The students concerned must inform the General Office of the sick leave by 8:30 a.m., on the day of the examination. Upon recovery, when they return for class/examination, they must produce a medical certificate (by a registered doctor of Hong Kong) and make the request for a make-up examination via the subject teacher. (ii) Casual leave (with a very strong and well-justified reason approved by the school authority) Casual leaves are normally not granted. Those who request a make-up examination must approach the teacher-in-charge, Ms S. Cheng (CSI), before the date of the examination, with well-supported reasons, and documents, if any. b) Due to the arrangement difficulty, the Chinese Listening, English Listening and Oral make-up exams will not be provided. It is also not possible for students to take supplementary examinations for more than two subjects. c) Requests for make-up examinations must be made during the examination period. Late applications will not be entertained. d) 30% of the marks the students score in the make-up examinations will be deducted. 6. Listening Tests The listening tests of English Language (Paper 3) and Chinese Language (Paper 3 & Paper 5) will be broadcast via an Infra-red (IR) Transmission System. Students MUST bring their
own earphones for plugging into the receivers (diameter of plug: 3.5 mm) provided by the school. A mark penalty will be imposed on students who do not bring earphones. 7. Calculators Calculators the students use in the examination must have the H.K.E.A.A. Approved label or the students will risk a mark penalty. 8. Pagers and Mobile Phones Students are not allowed to use pagers or mobile phones in school. If these devices ring during the examination, the students will receive a mark penalty. 9. Bad Weather In the case of inclement weather, upon the announcement of the Education Bureau to close schools, the examination will be postponed. The examinations concerned will be re-scheduled to another date. For any examination day(s) a. from 27/1/2015 to 30/1/2015, the examinations will be arranged on 31/1/2015 (Sat). b. from 2/2/2015 to 6/2/2015, the examinations will be arranged on 7/2/2015 (Sat). c. from 9/2/2015 to 13/2/2015, the examinations will be arranged on 14/2/2015 (Sat). Notices concerning re-scheduling of other examination sessions, if any, will be uploaded to the School Homepage (www.sfc-plk.edu.hk). Students must check for the latest arrangement of the time and date OR they may phone the General Office (2390 5010) for the details. 10. Graduation Criteria To be graduated, a S6 student must (a) obtain an average mark of not less than 40, and (b) pass in both English and Chinese, and (c) not fail in more than one subject, and (d) obtain a conduct grade of B- or above, and (e) attain an attendance rate not less than 85%, and (f) fulfill the requirement on services laid down by the OLE Committee. * The passing mark in examination of NSS subjects is 40. Should students fail to satisfy the above-mentioned, the remark `unable to fulfill the graduation criteria' and the reason for such will be put down in the testimonial and report issued to them. 11. Attendance If students did not attend examinations in any subjects / papers, they should submit a parent letter to their mentors on the first day when they return to school. The remark The student has been absent from the mock examination in subject(s)/paper(s) without justifiable reasons. will be printed on the report card if the reasons are not accepted by school.. SA48/1415/065 中六模擬考試 (2014-2015) 1. 考試日期 中六模擬考試定於 2015 年 1 月 27 日至 2015 年 2 月 13 日 中 英文科之口試定於 2015 年 1 月 20 日舉行 2. 回校時間 考試時間表所指定的日期 ( 見附錄一 ), 於開考前 15 分鐘回到學校, 並檢查考試座位的安排, 有關安排將展示在試場入口 3. 遲到 除英語聽力考試 ( 卷三 ) 及口試 ; 中國語文聽力考試 ( 卷三及卷五 ) 及口試外, 學生遲到不多於半小時, 仍可進行考試, 但不會獲加額外的時間 4. 早退 a) 考試期間不得早退 b) 完成當日考試後, 學生可離校 若下午仍要應考, 則可離校午膳 5. 補考申請 a) 英語聽力考試 ( 卷三 ) 及口試 ; 中國語文聽力考試 ( 卷三和卷五 ) 均不設補考 其它考試, 因為以下理由而不能參加學期或模擬考試的同學可申請補考安排 : i. 病假 有關學生必須在考試當天上午八時半前向校務處申請病假 康復回校後, 必須提交由本港註冊醫生簽發的醫生證明書, 並透過學科教師申請補考 ii. 事假 ( 需具有強烈而充分的理由, 並獲校方批准 ) 在一般情況下, 事假不會獲得批准 但學生若具有充分的理由, 則必須在考試前, 向鄭昕老師申請, 並需提交相關文件 b) 學生最多只能補考兩科 c) 補考申請必須在考試期間進行, 逾期申請將不獲受理 d) 學生在補考後所得的分數將被扣除 30% 6. 聽力考試 英國語文 ( 卷三 ) 及中國語文 ( 卷三及卷五 ) 考試錄音帶會由紅外線接收系統廣播, 學生必須自備耳筒, 以接駁本校提供的接收器 ( 插頭直俓 :3.5mm), 收聽考試廣播 學生如沒有帶備耳筒或逾時抵達試場, 會被扣分 7. 計算機 學生在考試中使用的計算機必須貼上 H.K.E.A.A. Approved 的標籤, 否則該卷將會被扣分
