我覺得美的, 每一個人也都應該覺得美 Should Ought to 這裡的應該 1. 並非道德的應該 ( 如果是道德的應該, 就會變成 the Gestapo version of Kant s Critique of Judgment) 2. 但是最終卻有道德的效果 :togetherness (of human beings) 4

3. 美的合目的 Purposiveness without purpose (without an end) Zweck purpose, end content Zweckmäß igkeit purposiveness form 所以康德美學是一種形式主義的 (formalistic) 美學 10

為什麼康德美學是形式主義的美學? 因為康德認為美沒有概念 ( 知識有概念, 善有概念 ) 私趣 ( 善有私趣, 呷意有私趣 ) 11

aesthetics of as if (p. 65) 煞有介事的美學誰煞有介事? 主體! 因為實際上並無其事, 是人煞有介事所以一切都是假的, 只有彷彿或好像, as if 或 seem (p.65) 12

遊戲沒有目的, 卻有合目的性 This is Kant s answer to the question: in what are we absorbed when we find a peony or performance beautiful, if not concepts, ends or the like? The answer is, we are absorbed in the play of sensuous particulars organized in our own imaginations towards some end, without there being any actual end. (p. 65) 13

Herwitz 認為音樂是最符合形式主義要求的藝術領域 (p.65), 雖然康德從未談過音樂 Walter Pater 是一個形式主義者, 他認為一切藝術都走向音樂 (p. 65) 14

Herwitz 認為康德的形式主義把形式當作完全是我們 ( 主體 ) 的想像力的所有物, 而完全沒有客體的成分是太過了 ; Herwitz 認為形式是主體與客體的共作的煉金成品 (alchemical synergy) 煉金的 (alchemical) 意謂神秘的變化共作 (synergy) 則意謂兩者共同作用 22
