The construct is formed to help understand and explain social inequality and social dominance. A thought experiment aimed to reconstruct the primordial situation of our primitive ancestors is firstly conducted to highlight the pivotal role that categorization plays in human history. After reviewing the classical signposts in the research of social categorization the paper then proceeds to dismantle the process of the institutionalization of social categorization so as to reveal the origin and basic form of the power of social categorization and to explore the devastating social consequences of the deviational classification especially its disastrous social psychological implications. The paper ends with a discussion about the possible programs for authentic categorization.
