PART 1 SITUATIONAL WRITING Pupils are required to produce a texttype other than a narrative. e.g. formal email or letter, informal email or letter, postcard, diary entry, etc. Question consists of: i. a stimulus e.g. series of pictures, a flyer, an advertisement, etc. ii. key points or information that must be included
PART 2 CONTINUOUS WRITING Pupils are required to write a composition based on a given topic. Question consists of: a given topic - e.g. an accomplishment, a disappointment, etc. 3 pictures - these are provided to help pupils think about the topic - at least one of the pictures must be used in the composition guiding questions

EXAMINATION FORMAT The examination consists of two written papers comprising three booklets. Mathematics & Foundation Mathematics Both papers will be scheduled on the same day with a break between the two papers. Paper 1 comprises of two booklets (A and B). The use of calculators is not allowed. Paper 2 comprises of one booklet. The use of calculators is allowed.

PERANAN IBU BAPA Galakkan anak anda berbual dalam bahasa melayu dengan ahli keluarga di rumah. Galakkan mereka membaca bahan-bahan bacaan berbahasa melayu yang bermutu. Menonton rancangan-rancangan televisyen berbahasa melayu yang bermutu bersama mereka. Galakkan penggunaan kamus untuk mengembangkan kosa kata anak-anak.
