1 Title of Double Degree Programme/Options Bachelor of Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) and Bachelor of Business Administration (Integrated BBA Programme) Double Degree Option 1 st degree: Bachelor of Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) Major Programme Requirement Students are required to complete a minimum of 75 units of courses as follows: Units 1. ENGG11, 111, Foundation Science Courses: 9 (a) units of Physics [a]: ENGG252, PHYS111 (b) units of other Science Course: CHEM17, 128, 18 [b], LSCI11, 1 [c]. Foundation Mathematics Courses: ENGG141, 242, 24, MATH Required Courses: (a) BMEG21^, 221, 4, ELEG222, 11, ENGG2, SBMS141, 142, 144 (b) Research Component Courses ENGG 41, Elective Courses: BMEG12, 12, 1, 21, 2,, 42, 41, 422, 12 42, 441, 445, 451, 452, 45, 454, 514, ELEG511, 512, 51, 514, 52, MBTE42# Total: 75 ^ Subject to the approval of the Faculty Board of Engineering. # The inclusion of MBTE42 in the calculation of Major GPA is subject to the approval of the Undergraduate Examinations Board. Explanatory Notes: 1. BIOL42, BMEG, ELEG, ENGG courses within the list and at 2 level and above will be included in the calculation of the Major GPA for honours classification but excluding courses in Faculty Package, Foundation Science and Foundation Mathematics. 2. Result of the graduation project as prescribed by ENGG42 will be included in the calculation for honours classification. [a] Students are strongly advised to take PHYS1 if they have not obtained Level or above in HKDSE Physics, or other equivalent qualifications. [b] Students are strongly advised to take units from either CHEM17, 128 or

2 [c] 18 if they have not obtained Level or above in HKDSE Chemistry, or other equivalent qualifications. Students are strongly advised to take units from either LSCI11 or 1 if they have not obtained Level or above in HKDSE Biology, or other equivalent qualifications. Requirements for admission to the 2 nd degree programme 1. Admission to the second degree programme is guaranteed if students have i. fulfilled all graduate requirements of the first degree programme; ii. Major GPA of at least. upon completion of studies of the first degree programme (ERG); and iii. taken at least a reasonable number of units ( units as mutually agreed by both the ERG and BA Faculties) of courses prescribed by the second degree programme while pursuing the first degree programme, and have achieved a GPA of at least. in these second degree programme courses. These second degree programme courses include the required language courses and the mutually recognized courses of the double degree programme. Students who do not satisfy the above requirements may still apply for admission to the second degree programme which has discretion in judging the suitability of the students in studying for the second degree through assessments like conducting interview, considering the recommendation from the first degree programme etc. Upon fulfillment of the requirements of the first degree programme, students of this double degree programme can choose to or not to pursue the second degree programme. If a student decides not to pursue the second degree programme but has fulfilled the requirements of a relevant BBA minor programme, a minor of that BBA programme would be awarded. 2 nd Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration (Integrated BBA Programme) Major Programme Requirement Students are required to complete a minimum of 58 units of courses as follows: Units 1. Students can choose to graduate with double concentrations. In that case, they will have to take 15 more units of courses (five courses) to fulfill the requirement of another concentration in addition to the Major Programme

4 Requirement of 58 units. 2. ACCT/DSME/FINA/IBBA/MGNT/MKTG courses at 2 level and above (excluding ACCT2111 and 2121) will be included in the calculation of Major GPA for honours classification.. DSME221 and the associated units can be used to satisfy concentration requirements of double concentrations within (a) to (g) and (l). MKTG1 and the associated units can be used to satisfy concentration requirements of double concentrations within (h) to (l). Explanatory Notes on mutual recognition or exclusion 1. DSME211 and the associated units can be exempted from the requirement of the second degree by successfully completing ENGG24.
