Start by using the appliance to times a week. Thereafter, adjust the frequency and duration of use while observing the skin condition. If any skin problem develops, stop using immediately. Recommended usage is once per day. Your skin condition also may differ depending on your health. (Skin is particularly sensitive on days when peeling (removal of corneum) is performed.) Use the appliance while observing the condition of the skin. If you experience any skin discomfort, such as rash, redness, or itching, stop using and consult a physician. Skin problems may be caused by stress, constitution, organic disorders, or cosmetics. If problems occur, consult a specialist. The appliance may generate noise (distorted images and/or sounds) and interference with nearby TV or radio receivers. Keep the appliance away from your TV receiver or radio receiver and use a different power outlet. When the appliance is used for the first time, some water may remain around the water supply tank. This is residual water used for inspection in the factory, and does not cause any sanitation problems. Preparation Set the waterproof sheet by aligning the pitted part of the sheet to the appliance. Place the appliance on a flat surface, such as a desk, where water droplets would not cause a problem. Place the appliance on a flat, level surface; otherwise, the appliance will not operate because of the inclination switch. Set the waterproof sheet so that it does not cover the appliance. If the waterproof sheet is not placed, the surface of the desk may be covered with water droplets from the mist. Do not expose the steam to the waterproof sheet. (Direct exposure may cause deformation of the sheet.) Open the cover with your hand. Use the appliance after opening the cover completely (up to the position where the cover stops). If the cover fails to open completely, the appliance will not operate because of the safety device. English - 008/0/9 ::

4 English 6 Remove the water supply tank by pushing it. When pushing the water supply tank, it will rise slightly. After opening the water supply cap, fill the water supply tank with water up to the full mark. If the water level is below the full mark, the steam may release inconsistently, or the mist may not release. Wipe off any water from the surface of the water supply tank. Use only distilled water or tap water. (Distilled water is recommended.) Do not use ice water. Do not use hot water because it may deform the water supply tank. Install the water supply tank by pushing it into the appliance until it clicks. Once the water supply tank is installed, the water is supplied into the appliance and the water level in the water supply tank becomes lower. Repeated installation and removal of the water supply tank may cause water to leak from the drain outlet. Firmly insert the nozzle cap into the nozzle with the housing hook hole on the top side. How to use the ion steamer Insert the plug into a power outlet and press the switch. Only the COURSE lamp blinks. Push the POWER (power) switch firmly. (Even if a click is heard, push it further. If the switch is not pushed far enough, the POWER (power) switch will return, and the power will not turn on.) Press the switch to select your favorite course. Each time you press the SELECT COURSE (course selection) switch, the course changes from Clear skin, Skin fitness/elasticity, Sebum care and Hot steam. The lamp blinks until the selected course starts. Refer to Recommended basic patterns on page 0. Press the switch to start the selected course. The course indication lamp or the HOT STEAM (hot steam) lamp turns on. The platinum steam is released after about 0 seconds. Steam and mist are released alternately according to the selected course. Since the steam and mist are released from different outlets, position your face for uniform exposure to the steam and mist. When an appliance releases steam, some hot water drops may come out. This is normal. The mist is not released in the Hot steam course. Press the STOP/START (stop/start) switch in the middle of the selected course to interrupt the course. Press the STOP/START (stop/start) switch once more to start the course again from the beginning. Press the SELECT COURSE (course selection) switch in the middle of the course to start the switched course from the beginning. Adjust the angle (up/down) of the nozzle. Adjust the angle by holding both edges of the nozzle cap while taking care not to touch the steam directly. Once the selected course has been completed, the appliance stops automatically. Only the Clear skin course indication blinks. How to use the hot steam (platinum steam) Do not use the steam if it is affected by airflow from an air conditioner. The steam may release unevenly, not evenly. This is normal. Basic Use the appliance according to Recommended basic patterns on page 0. Posture Set the appliance in a position where you can use it in a relaxed posture. Portion Use the steam on your chin and décolleté (breast), and spread the steam across your face and décolleté (breast). Move your face slightly to the left and right for even steam coverage. Using the steam on your nose is effective on the T-zone. The décolleté means the area of your breast, shoulder, and neck covering from the lower edge of your face to the upper edge of the bust. If water droplets on your face are uncomfortable, wipe them off with a towel. English /0/9 ::

5 English Keep your face and décolleté (breast) at least 0 cm away from the edge of the nozzle cap ( cm away from the steam outlet). When using the appliance for the first time or it is difficult to find the appropriate distance, use the attached leaflet to confirm the distance between the area you want to expose to the steam and the nozzle cap edge. To use the steam for your entire face, position the nozzle toward your face slightly above the chin. After use, wipe off any water with a towel or tissue, and then apply lotion to prepare your face and apply an emulsion to supplement skin oil. If you do not use any skin care products after using the appliance, moisture on your skin will evaporate, and the skin surface becomes dry. How to use the cool mist (micro mist) Release of mist is slightly uneven and the sound (steam release) may fluctuate. This is normal. Prepare a towel or tissue to use the mist on your face. Since the size of the particles of mist is larger, your face, clothes, and the surrounding area may get wet. Portion Use the mist on any areas of concern on your face and chin. Maintain the same distance with the mist as when using the steam. If water droplets on your face are uncomfortable, wipe them off with a towel. When using the mist on your chin, your clothes may get wet. Cover your clothes with a towel or take other precautions to avoid getting wet. When the COOL MIST (cool mist) lamp turns on, the mist is released. If an emulsified cleansing detergent is used, wipe off any water with a tissue after using the ion steamer, and then cleanse the skin. After use Be sure to discard the water in the water supply tank and in the appliance after every use Press the switch to turn off the power, and then remove the plug from the power outlet. The course indication lamps turn off. Wipe off water droplets on the waterproof sheet. Wipe off water droplets with a towel and dry completely before storing the appliance. Leave the appliance to cool for at least 0 minutes. Remove the nozzle cap from the nozzle. Remove the water supply tank from the appliance by pushing it, and discard the water in the water supply tank. Reinstall the water supply tank and close the cover. Confirm the click. Remove the water from the appliance by pressing the drain button. Return the appliance to a flat position and repeat the steps above to times to ensure that all water is completely drained from the appliance. When discarding the water, do not get water on the plug and power cord. Wipe off any water from the appliance. Wipe off the water on the nozzle cap and house it in the appliance. 7 English Cleaning Cleaning the inside of the main body Clean once a month. To remove and prevent water scale deposits, let the appliance cool for at least 0 minutes after use and then wash using the following procedures After the operation in step 7 of page, fill the water supply tank with water up to the full mark. Install the water supply tank into the appliance, and then close the cover. Shake the appliance horizontally to times. Shake the appliance gently without tilting it. Remove the water supply tank from the appliance by pushing it, and discard the water in the water supply tank. Reinstall the water supply tank and close the cover. Confirm the click. Remove the water from the appliance by pressing the drain button. Return the appliance to a flat position and repeat the steps above to times to ensure that all water is completely drained from the appliance. Repeat the steps to 6 above to times. Wipe off any water from the appliance. Even after draining the water, some water remains in the appliance. This does not cause sanitary problems since the water is boiled when used the next time. Cleaning the ion steamer Do not wash or soak the appliance in water. Wipe the appliance with a cloth moistened with soapy water. Never use alcohol, thinner, benzine, or enamel remover. Doing so may result in malfunction or cause cracks or discoloration. Cleaning the filter Clean once a year. Vacuum dust from the filter with an electric vacuum cleaner. Cleaning the cool mist outlet (When the cool mist is not released smoothly) Turn off the power, remove the cap from the attached cleaning needle, and then clean the cool mist outlet with a needle. (Put the needle straight in and out of the hole to times.) Forcefully pushing the needle may deform it. After cleaning, put the cap on the needle and carefully store it together with the operating instructions. Do not use any items other than the attached cleaning needle (e.g., a sewing needle). Doing so may result in a malfunction. Lightly wipe the parts around the cool mist outlet with a cotton swab to prevent damage. Do not insert any foreign substances, such as a hairpin, into the outlet or the filter.
