The Impact of Libya s Political Transformation on China s Economy WANG Jinyan Abstract Gadhafi regime was overthrown through Libya War. Libya s economy and people s livelihood were badly affected. China, as a key trade partner, has energy demand from Libya, and there exist not only trade ties but cooperation on large contract projects. The situation in Libya will inevitably bring about not only impact on China s economy but new opportunities and challenges to the future cooperation of economy and trade between the two countries. China should positively be facing the changing situation in Libya, obtain benefits while avoiding disadvantages, and show an image of a great country to the world.
