Luoba people mainly scatter in Luoyu Districtsoutheast part of Tibetwhere there exist higher mountains and deep valleys it is hard for any vehicles to get to and less can come into the outside view for a long time. Mr. Ji Wenzheng worked for 16 years in Medog County. The pictures about the Luoba ethnic group s folk - custom photographed by him during 1950s - 60s recorded Luoba people s folk custom and mores and their activities of religion and sacrifice due to their belief in animism at the end of the primitive Society at that time. These pictures are very valuable. Going through over half a century s difficulties and hardships these precious historical materials are more worthy of being researched. Showing these old pictures in this articlewe believe they would make people outside know their pastconcern about their present situation and help Luoba people develop better in the future.
