The Achievements and the Development Trend of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum Gaafar Karar Ahmed (Gaafar Karar Ahmed, Ph.D, Senior Expert of Asian Affairs of Qatari Foreign Minister, Visiting Professor of the Middle East Institute, Shanghai International Studies University) Abstract The establishment China-Arab States Cooperation Forum has been one of the most important events in the history of Sino-Arab relations over the past 50 years. developments and achievements of the Forum since its establishment in 2004, and exams its effects on building and developing Sino-Arab relations and deepening mutual trust between China and Arab states. This paper suggests that China and Arab States should deepen mutual relations in various fields in the framework of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, an important mechanism and strategic initiative leading Sino-Arab comprehensive and strategic partnership, and should enhance the common will between China and Arab states in strengthening this mechanism. With the help of the platform, we can carry out and promote The Silk Road Economic Belt and the Marine Silk Route Strategy.
