DeST 15 DeST DeST DeST DeST Building environment design simulation software DeST(15): Practical application of the commercial buildings models of DeST By Zhang Ye, Yan Da, Liu Ye and Jiang Yi Abstract The HVAC systems for commercial buildings require to maintain a comfortable internal working space with economical energy consumptions. To cope with the demanding needs in the commercial sector, DeST has developed a commercial version to simulate both building and system performance of different HVAC system configurations at different design stages. This paper uses a commercial building as an example to point out the design problems encountered in different stages of the design process. Through the use of DeST, these problems at each stage can be analyzed and resolved.
