Res. of Taiwan.23 (3) : 21 34(2001) 2 3 SWOT The Application of Strategic Planning on Reorganization of T.F.B. 1 Chiou-Shya Torng 2 Shaw-Lin Lo 3 Abstract Traditional bureaucracy forestry organizations should be reorganized because the society becomes complexity and diversity and the role of forestry has changed. Strategic planning could offer a set of systematic methods for policy and plan analysis, so it was not only applied to find out the missions, visions, and strategies but also considered as a good tool to plan policies and programs for T.F.B. It was suggested the public relationship sectors and strategic planning department of T.F.B should be established to offer optimal strategies and well communication with stakeholders. In the meanwhile, to construct promotion and research sectors could help to public involvement and cooperation to reorganize. To establish the forestry committee would foster the implement of programs and policies and be coordinators and raise professional autonomy.
