WELCOME: We warmly welcome Father Scott Brentwood, O. de M. to Saint Mary Parish this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as our guest homilist for our Annual 40 Hours Devotion. Father Scott is the Parochial Vicar (Assistant Pastor) of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in the Overbrook Farms section of Philadelphia. Father will be preaching during Vespers on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening at 7:00PM. He will also be hearing confessions at 6:00PM each evening of 40 Hours. Please give Father Scott a warm welcome! FORTY HOURS EUCHARISTIC DEVOTION: This Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, October 28, 29 & 30, Saint Mary Parish will celebrate its Annual Forty Hours Eucharistic Devotion in our beautiful church each evening at 7:00PM. Confessions will be heard at 6:00PM until 6:55PM. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CAN ATTEND OUR "PARISH RETREAT". All students in our day and evening schools preparing for the Sacraments are required to attend the closing ceremony (Tuesday evening) as part of their required retreat. An Attendance card must be placed in the collection basket to verify your attendance. Students not preparing for a Sacrament are to attend either Sunday or Monday evening with their parents. The Hospitality Committee has graciously offered to host once again a light refreshment reception at the conclusion of 40 Hours on Tuesday evening in Hedge Hall. All are welcome! OFFERING FOR 40 HOURS: There will be only ONE OFFERING for our Annual (3 days) 40 Hours. This collection will be taken after the Homily on Tuesday evening. Just as a reminder: Only one offering - Tuesday evening. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. ANNUAL CENSUS and PARISH APPEAL: I have sent to you in the mail news of our Annual Census and Parish Appeal. This Census and Parish Appeal is important to us here at Saint Mary Parish because its purpose is twofold: One, it helps us to update our Parish Records and Two, the Parish Appeal will help us to continue to maintain and care for our 22 acres of property and 6 buildings in a manner you have to come to expect and deserve. You will be happy to know that our parish has ascertained a new Parish Data System (PDS) called SERVANT KEEPER! Servant Keeper will allow us, on a parish level to organize much more information, quickly print reports, and schedule lay ministers of the Mass in an efficient manner. Thank you so much for your support and cooperation. ELECTRONIC GIVING: Once again, I bring to your attention the option of Electronic Giving. Electronic Giving is a good and safe way of contributing to the Sunday Offering, as well as Holy Days of Obligation Offerings, to our parish. This option will allow you, our faithful parishioner, to be consistent in your sacrificial giving to the Lord as you assist your parish in being a good steward of the gifts that God has entrusted to us. Please go on our website and click "Parish Giving" and follow the prompts. It is very quick and easy. ALL SOULS REMEMBRANCE WEEKEND: Next weekend here at Saint Mary Parish we celebrate ALL SOULS REMEMBRANCE WEEKEND. Please bring a framed picture or two if needed of your loved ones who have passed and place the framed picture(s) on our specially prepared tables in front of the Main Sanctuary of our church. We will bless and incense the pictures of your loved ones as a reminder that, yes they have died, but are NOT FORGOTTEN. Also, please make sure you place your ALL SOULS ENVELOPE in the collection basket next weekend with your Sunday Offering. Your ALL SOULS ENVELOPES will be placed on the MAIN ALTAR of our church. We invite all members of the parish to bring a framed picture of their loved ones to Mass with them, and place them on the tables which will be set up in the front of the church by the altar.
