2 Introduction The Silk Road has a long history of more than 2,000 years. The ancient route, which enhanced the development of world civilization, started from Xian and passed through Central Asia to reach Rome, Europe. Spend the morning to visit the Ak Saray Palace ruins, Dorus Tilavat, Kok Gumbaz Mosque, Dorus Saidat, Tamerlane s crypt and the Friday mosque. Drive to Bukhara afterwards. Bukhara, a UNESCO World Heritage city, is situated on the Silk Road with more than 2,000 years of history. It is the most complete example of a medieval city in Central Asia, with an urban fabric that has remained largely intact. Accommodation at Hotel Boutique Minzifa or similar (4-star) (B, L & D) 7 Bukhara This morning visit the Magoki-Attori Mosqure, the Kalyan Minaret, the Ulugbek Madrasahs and Abd al-aziz Madrasahs. The Ismael Samani Mausoleum, a beautiful building of ornate brickwork, is the best-preserved building in the city. Onwards to Lab-I-Hauz Ensemble, which comprises magnificent buildings, Nadir Divanbegi Madrasah and Khanaga Madrasah. They scatter in three sides along a pond. Then visit the Samanid Mausoleum in the afternoon, which was built in the 10th century. Visit Chashmah Ayyub, a traditional shrine restored by Timur in the 14th century. Accommodation at Hotel Boutique Minzifa or similar (4-star) (B, L & D) 8 9 Bukhara - Tashkent Approx. 1 hour flight Visit the Chor Minor Madrassah meaning four minarets. Onwards to the Arc Citadel where the rich merchants once resided. Take an excursion to the Sitora-i- Mokhikhosa, the summer residence of the former emir of Bukhara where you can see unique mixture of traditional architecture in Russian style harmoniously mixed with local oriental traditions. Proceed to the Bahauddin Naqshbandi Mausolem, a famous Sufi spiritual leader of this region in the 14 th century. Return to Bukhara and enjoy walking among old Bukharian streets. Transfer to Bukhara airport for a flight back to Tashkent. Accommodation at Tashkent Miran International Hotel or similar (5-star) (B, L & D) Tashkent Seoul Approx. 6.5 hours flight Visit to the State Art Museum*, an important museum for traditional Uzbek textiles as well as for other objects of art, an excellent collection of textiles from all parts of the country. Explore the Uzbekistan National History Museum*. Here you will see artifacts ranging from the B.C.E period to the present, including a good textile art collection. Onwards to Khiva and check in the hotel. Khiva - a unique city, rightfully claiming the title of "the seventh wonder of the world", thanks to its authentic atmosphere of the era of the beginning of time. The city area of Khiva is like an open-air museum in which castle Itchan Kala is the highlight. Inside this fortress are the architectural masterpieces of Khiva, including marvelous minarets, stonepaved alleys curves, leading to a madrassa with lacy rough mosaic of the ancient walls. Visit the Kalta Minor Minaret the tallest minaret in Khiva, Kunya Ark Fortress, Rakhimkhan Madrassah, Mausoleum of Pakhlavan Makhmud Khiva s protector, Islam Khodja Minaret and enjoy the view of whole ancient Khiva. In the afternoon, visit the Djuma Mosque and the Tashauli Palace/harem. Attend a silk dyeing demonstration at a Silk Workshop in Ichan Qala under the management of Master Madrahim. One of the most famous fortresses is the Fortress Ayazkala, which is named after General Ayaz-Kala. The first fortress has a height of 60 meters. The base of the fortress is surrounded by a long wall and the area is 9,000 square meters. Visit the Toprakkala fortress - the dynastic center of Khorezmian kings of the late 2nd-3rd centuries AD, built simultaneously and according to a single master plan. Transfer to Urgench for a flight to Tashkent.
