It then adopts a projection pursuit model to construct the urban extra- qualification index to investigate the progress of urban hukou reform across cities. By using Cox proportion risk model, the author found the determining factors which affect persisting poverty of rural old women. The author argues that to integrate social security schemes for rural citizens and give priority to this target group is preferred than to design a new system. Impact of Population Ageing on China s Old-age Insurance System for Urban Employees Lin Bao 84 Based on the pension fund balance function, this paper discusses and predicts the relationship between population aging and contribution rate of urban pension system from 2008 to The result shows that although population aging requires increase of contribution rate in the social pooling part of China s Old- age Insurance System for Urban Employees, other two changing factors, namely the coverage rate of elderly and working- age population and average replacement rate, will effectively offset the impact of population aging, which implies the present system could operate under the situation of the population aging until Furthermore, there is a space in present system to reduce contribution rate or to provide basic pension for those urban un- pensioned elderly people. The difference and distribution of migrant workers wishes in selecting pension programs are described, and factors affecting their desires are analyzed. This study finds that the age, household registration status, and the frequency of changing job are important for migrant workers to select different pension insurance schemes. This study also presents some issues for including migrant workers into the social pension insurance system.
