4 问题的提出 : 效率的需要 Issues of concern: Herd efficiency and asset turnover 母猪的淘汰和更新是生物原因 + 经济原因的共同决策, 是科学决策过程 Culling and replacing decisions should be made based on both biological and economical rational. 主动更新 + 被动淘汰, 其中主动更新实质上更多是一种经济决策 Voluntary and involuntary culling. Voluntary culling is often a economical decision. 提高母猪群效率就必须淘汰低效率母猪 Culling inefficient sows is always inevitable to maintain and improve sow herd efficiency. 老龄母猪 Older parity 乏情, 配种后连续 2 个情期配种未孕 anestrous, Ultrasound(-) for 2 consecutive mating 低产, 连续 2 胎活产仔数低 low litter size, lower than target NBA of 2 consecutive litters 外伤, 被动淘汰. 蹄伤比例被低估 trauma and injury, involuntary. Toe problems. 死亡, 被动淘汰高产品系在现代化猪场上的大问题 Sow mortality. A growing concern of more proliferate sows on modern farms.

Operating a well planned modern sow farm totally differ from old/current sow farms. 最大程度地利用最为昂贵的分娩设施 It requires maximizing farrowing units. 确保分娩单元全进全出, 而且有足够的洗消控干时间 I requires barn/unit allin-all-out and sufficient time for cleaning-washing-disinfecting-drying. 要求每批配种均能达成配种目标, 就要求有足够的后备母猪来补充淘汰的母猪 it always requires continuous, sufficient, estrous gilt supply, all times. 是满负荷均衡生产的必要条件和要求 PSY30 下是必须的. It is essential to operate on full capacity and rapid asset turnover.

10 后备更新头数的决策 Determine gilt numbers at various phase of herd setup and operation 美国 50 家母猪场 12 个月近 10 万头淘汰母猪的分析, 发现近 1/3 的配种后备母猪不能生产 3 胎以上 (Pinilla, 2013) 50 sow farms, 12 months. 这是一个重要的后备母猪头数规划的依据与我们使用国内数据计得的结果非常相似 7 胎母猪断奶后一律淘汰 Results are very close to our own observations in modern sow herds in China. 3 胎是个重要的指标, 本质上反应的是已经形成生物固定资产的母猪, 尚未折旧完毕即淘汰了, 造成固定资产损失, 甚至不够培育成本 Almost 1/3 of gilts bred are not able to farrow 3 litter, which created significant asset losses. Most companies depreciate sow asset for 30 to 36 months, minimum need to contribute 4 litters.

Be aware the cost of culling: Is it always economical to obtain genetic progresses? 窝产活仔数断奶窝重达到 120kg 体重的日龄三个性状不同改进量改进 ( 假定原种猪公司世代间隔 1.5 年, 在商品母猪场分别改进 0.3 头, 3.0 磅, 3.0 天 ) 下的价值 Genetic progress gained in PS herds of NBA, litter weight, DAYS 3lb, 3 days. 1.5 yrs generation gap. 结论 : 需要尽量把母猪养到被动淘汰再淘, 经济上才合算为了遗传进展主动淘汰过多是不合算的 Result: most times not economical for voluntary culling. 经济加权值 :NBA 22 美元, 窝重 0.7/ 磅,120kg 日龄 0.17/ 天

17 后备母猪的规划实操 : 建立清晰的目标是成功的第一步 Farm specific gilt planning procedure: Start from a goal setting 我这个母猪场的后备母猪方案怎样规划? 从母猪群现状调查开始 : 当前胎次头数, 产仔效果, 各胎次历史淘汰率, 建立起本场最佳在群后备头数和比例确定年引种头数批次频率隔离 / 驯化 / 免疫营养和饲养方案诱情效果跟踪业主沟通新建猪场后备猪规划 : 是专门技术 Specific gilt plan for MY farm? Start from investigating current sow parity distribution and culling rate, set up my herd optimum parity distribution. A GOAL. Determine annual gilt requirement; Determine number of groups introduction; Isolation/acclimatization/vaccination Nutrition and feeding plan; Puberty introduction Result monitoring and follow up; Owner communication New herd set up requires special skill

19 实操 : 确定后备引进 / 准备头数后备母猪的规划, 例 Farm specific gilt planning procedure: Number planning. Ex. 每周分娩 240 窝, 存栏生产母猪 5232 头年更新后备 2616 头每周需要体重合适处于发情期的可用后备 50 头如果每批引进存栏 8 周可用后备 =400 头 /8 周批还要看引进什么体重的后备猪 :Depending the age of gilts to introduce 精准 Excel 模型头数 / 周头数 /8 周 7-23kg 初选 - 95%x90%x80%x75%x95 % 400/49%= kg 二选 - 死亡率 / 90%x80%x75%x95% 400/51%= kg 期间三选 - 肢蹄外貌 / 80%x75%x95% 400/57%= kg 四选 -24 周龄有初情期, 选乳头 / 肢蹄 / 75%x95% 400/71%= kg 终选 - 95% 400/95%=421 注意 : 没有考虑种猪场根据育种值指数的淘汰率 50 x 8=400

21 后备母猪的规划实操 : 目标是成功的第一步 Farm specific gilt planning procedure: Goal of health in China 检到初情时, 后备母猪的三类健康目标 :Three categories of health requirement at estrus 观察 visual: 采血检测 serology: 无发烧, 肢蹄病, 乳头合格, 流鼻涕, 腹泻, 腹式呼吸伪狂犬野毒阴性, 蓝耳病抗原阴性, 无 app, 丹毒体重目标 weight: 首配时 kg, <145kg, 生长太快的也不是好后备母猪背膘 Backfat: 配种时 19mm(18-22)

22 后备母猪的规划实操 : 目标是成功的第一步 Farm specific gilt planning procedure: Goal of isolation in China 隔离 - 检查 Isolation 目标 Goal: 1- 不带入本场没有的病原体 ; 2- 外貌体况符合要求培育 - 驯化 - 初情期诱导 Development 目标 Goal: 及时培育足够头数出达到体重目标的后备母猪及时 : 满足每个配种批需要足够头数 :~20% 体重目标 : kg; 初配 - 饲养 1st service 目标 Goal: 配种分娩率高特别的营养和饲料

24 隔离检疫驯化 From entry to 1 st service- Chinese characteristics: Isolations vs development 尽管各猪场的健康控制目标不同, 在中国后备母猪疫苗免疫至少要关注乙脑 JEBV 细小病毒 Parvo 猪瘟再免 CSFV 伪狂犬再免 PRV 口蹄疫再免 FMD 圆环病毒病再免 PCV2 和回肠炎 Illei 等等. 多数猪场在实际运作时, 往往还包括蓝耳病病源接触或免疫肺炎支原体 Mhyo 再免驱虫 Dewarm 抗生素处理等等现实的情况是, 从后备猪一进场开始, 几乎每周都有各种不同的疫苗免疫药物保健措施 If starting at 50kg BW, need vacc every week until puberty introduction. 所有免疫和兽医处理均须在 24~26 周龄开始诱情时结束, 同时只要经过肢蹄乳头外阴外貌诸指标选择结束的后备猪才进入诱情. All vaccinations stop at estrus introduction. 此时的体重通常已到 kg, 这一步的体貌淘汰率有时可达 10%- 20%, 选择至少 7 对有效乳头非常重要, 新品系至少 7 对以上

26 初情期诱导 Standardized Puberty introduction: 4 week procedure 一个后备母猪批次, 通常从最大周龄组的 23~24 周龄即开始分组去接触公猪进行诱情, 连续 4 周诱情, 至最小周龄组的培育结束时, 平均通常在 28 周龄左右, 由此也确定了后备母猪培育舍规模建筑的设计参数指标 Comingle with V boars at around 23wks age. Standardized 4 week procedure. 实践证明, 环境良好地面面积 / 饲料合理诱情公猪足够的后备母猪培育舍, 每批后备母猪可见到初情期的比例并不低,85% 是可预期目标 80 公斤体重之后, 后备母猪培育区的地面面积, 至少 1.2 平米 / 头 minum floor space 1.2m 2 after 80 kg BW. 诱情栏设计

27 国内的大生产实践 Practice in Chinese large sow system: 中国国内三个 2500 头母猪全面稳定实现 PSY30+ 生产线的胎次特征 : 2014 年正确建群之后, 满负荷稳定生产, 有了 ` 既定的 ` 后备母猪补充方案后, 各胎次进入 ` 完美的状态 `(1~4 胎 )Three 2500 sow herds, annual PSY30+, reached `optimum` parity distribution after 2.5 years after setup. 胎次分布类似公司财务的资产负债平衡表, 是母猪群一个时间点的状态 ` 有计划地 ` 稳定生产是稳定实现 PSY30+ 不可或缺的根本保证措施之一

28 结论 Conclusion 除死亡外伤和疾病原因之外, 有规划有步骤地淘汰里繁殖效率的母猪是提高母猪猪群效率的必有途径 On top of involuntary culling, planned voluntary culling low fertile sows would be essential for herd performance. 精确规划的现代母猪场, 要求随时有足够数量的合格发情后备猪在群, 才能保证可持续均衡生产目前大多数母猪群对后备规划还不够精准 Well planned modern sow farm require sufficient gilts in estrus all times. All sow farms are not precise in gilt planning. 根据历史数据, 可以准确规划好每年需引进的后备母猪头数引种频率, 通常约 1 批 /8 周 ; 连续生产之后, 每个配种批中约有 20~25% 的后备母猪 Based on historical records, one can develop a accurate annual gilt plan, farm specific introduction frequency. Large operations tend to bring in gilts every eight weeks. Once operating at full capacity, each breeding group has about 20~25% gilt.

29 结论 Conclusion 由于我国需要预防的病原较多, 选留后备时, 需留出足够的隔离驯化时间, 病料 / 疫苗驯化免疫计划, 最早可能 35kg 开始诱情开始之前所有疫苗 / 驯化均应结束, 提前做好计划 For many pathogens to concern in China, gilt should be left sufficient time for isolation, quarantine, development, feed-back, and vaccination. This can be started as early as 35kg BW. All acclimatization and vaccination should be stopped before puberty introduction. 高健康母猪场, 引进断奶仔猪培育 2.5 倍目标量 ;Approximately twice number of gilts is needed when bringing in gilts at weaning age. 22 周龄 (160 日龄前后 ) 开始接触公猪, 诱情 ; 标准化 4 周驯化 3 阶段方案 It seems that start mingling with boars and stimulation at about 22 wk age for 2 weeks before 4-week puberty introduction work well in large sow herds. 管理层沟通后备计划很重要 Always communicate with farm owners.
