Check that this booklet has pages 2 8 in the correct order and that none of these pages is blank. The booklet should be given to the teacher reading the listening passages 30 minutes before the start of the examination so they can familiarise themselves with it before reading. 2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE TEACHER Thirty minutes before the start of the examination the Supervisor will give you this Listening Passage Booklet. Remain in the examination room, and familiarise yourself with the booklet s contents. When the Supervisor indicates, begin reading aloud at the top of page 3. Read all the text at a normal classroom learning speed, omitting only the pause instructions given in italics. As you reach each pause instruction, tick the box alongside it. Note that pause times may vary according to the length of the reading. It should take no longer than 60 minutes to complete the reading of the text in this booklet.
