Teachers will be presenting information regarding their curriculum and program expectations for the year. Items to support a teacher s program will be listed in the student s classroom. Parents will be able to make donations that will benefit their child s class for the year. Please join us for a very informative evening with your child s teacher. Parent Conference Sign-Up On School Back-To -School-Night/Wish Night, you will have an opportunity to sign up for parent conferences, which will be in September/ October. Conference sign-ups will be on a first come, first serve basis, so please get to your child s room early. Parent Teacher Conferences Minimum days: 9/25, 9/28, 9/29, 9/30, 10/2. BOOK FAIR IS COMING Starting September 14 18, 2015 we will have our Book Fair in the school library. Students will have the opportunity to purchase books for springtime reading or just for fun. Proceeds from this sale will go directly to purchase more books for our students. Wednesday Information Many teachers at Ynez send home parent information on Wednesdays rather than on a daily basis. Please check with your child to ensure that you receive the important information from school. Early Student Release/School Safety For the safety of all students, AUSD mandates that anyone picking up a student during school hours, MUST check in the main office and present a valid photo ID. Please make sure that you are dropping off and picking up your child at the designated areas and not entering school campus without checking in to the main office. Only a parent or legal guardian who is holder of educational rights can remove a student from school. Prior approval from parent/guardian must be communicated to the school office before anyone listed on the emergency contacts can remove a student early from school Parking reminders Please remember to follow traffic laws and safety regulations when dropping off and picking up your students. It is important that we make sure that students make it to and from school safely. On School and on Track - AUSD Campaign! Please join us in ensuring all students make it to school daily and on time! This card asks parents to list the emergency contact names and numbers that our school staff will utilize should a disaster occur. It is imperative that this card be completed in full and contain accurate information. On-Line Emergency Card Alhambra Unified School District has an online electronic emergency information collection system. Parents have been issued a user name and password that allows them to log into the Parent Portal and fill out each child s emergency contact information. The Parent Portal can be accessed at http://family.ausd.us. If you haven t completed the electronic card, please do so as soon as possible. Please update your information when there is a change. Care of Children If for some reason, you as a parent need to leave your child in the care of a relative or other care giving designee (i.e. trip out of the country), please notify us so that we can make sure that the proper paperwork is filled out in case of an emergency with the child.
