An Empirical Analysis of Influencing Factors of University Tuition Yan Chengbu (Institute of Education, Xiamen University, Xiamen 361005) Abstract: At present, China's public and private colleges adopt two different price forms, the public institution execution costs of compensation, which is according to student training costs in reasonable proportion of all, but the private need the full-cost price. Different types of institutions of higher education have provided different services, or the same type has different quality services, which causes the significant difference of tuition level; furthermore, there is a "swing" level between the education service quality and tuition level of public schools compared with private schools. In the system of public institutions of higher education, the level of tuition fees has no notable difference, and the signal of it is not obvious, which is not useful for the equal competition among schools and the adjustment of specialties and education structure of university. With the dual choices of socialist market economy and higher education generalization, government should relax the governance and let public schools carry out independent pricing, and this way gradually changes from the government orientation to market orientation. Key words: tuition and fees, cost sharing, the cost of education, higher education service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9 17 110 2011-09-18-13 -
