The result s show t hat t here are o bvio us difference amo ng 15 cities in urban hinterland areas, mo reover, t he coincidence degree between urban hinterland areas and t heir administrative region is lower. According to t he result s and conclusions, Gansu Province can be divided into 5 first2class urban economic regions. On t he basis of division for urban hinterland, some suggestions on fixing the region spatial struct ure of town system in Gansu Province are p ut forward.
