The Electronic Version of National Physical A tlas of China ( EN2 PAC), edited from The National Physical A tlas of the Peop le s Republic of China, is the second created informa2 tion p roduct which systematically integrates and vividly disp lays the spatial information on China s natural re2 sources and environm ent, and there are some innovations in its develop ing p rocess. 2. Setting up of its system structure and resolving key technologies, including the selection of develop ing p latform, the building of 3D and dy2 nam ic data model, virtual map visualization, and integration of multi2source & multi2type data. 3. M ain character2 istics of ENPAC, i1e., the unique interface structure, the special interactive tools, various types of dynam ic map s, special brow sing function, vivid virtual 3D relief fly2through, m ultip le rep resentation, as well as function of analysis and query.
