7 壹 申請注意事項 Application Instructions 中英文版本如有出入時, 以中文版為準 If there are any discrepancies between the English and the Chinese instructions, the Chinese version takes precedence. 一 申請資格 Qualifications 申請資格係依據教育部 外國學生來臺就學辦法 所規定 辦法如經修正, 將以教育部公 告為準 有關辦法之最新訊息, 請洽詢中華民國教育部 The application qualification is based on MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan If the MOE (Ministry of Education) Regulations were updated or changed, the MOE Regulations announced by MOE prevail. For the latest information regarding the MOE Regulations, please contact MOE. 1. 具外國國籍且未曾具有中華民國國籍, 於申請時並不具僑生資格者 An individual of foreign nationality, who has never held nationality status from the Republic of China and does not possess an overseas Chinese student status at the time of their application. 2. 具外國國籍且符合下列規定, 於申請時並已連續居留海外六年以上者 : An individual of foreign nationality, pursuant to the following regulations and who has stayed overseas continuously for no less than 6 years. (1) 申請時兼具中華民國國籍者, 應自始未曾在臺設有戶籍 An individual who has a nationality status from the Republic of China at the time of their birth but does not hold a household registration must state this on their college application. (2) 申請前曾兼具中華民國國籍, 於申請時已不具中華民國國籍者, 應自內政部許可喪失中華民國國籍之日起至申請時已滿八年 An individual who has had nationality status from the Republic of China but has no R.O.C. nationality at the time of their application shall have an annulled status regarding their R.O.C. nationality for no less than 8 years after an annulment of their R.O.C. nationality by the Ministry of the Interior. 3. 前二款均未曾以僑生身分在臺就學, 且未於當學年度接受海外聯合招生委員會分發 Regarding individuals mentioned in both of the above subparagraphs they must not have studied in Taiwan under the status of an overseas Chinese nor received placement permission for an academic school year by the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students. 4. 依教育合作協議, 由外國政府 機構或學校遴薦來臺就學之外國國民, 其自始未曾在 臺設有戶籍者, 經主管教育行政機關核准, 得不受前二項規定之限制 According to the Education Cooperation Framework Agreement, a foreign national - 1 -

8 who was selected by a foreign government, organization, or school, and does not hold a household registration from the time of their birth is not subject to the limitations as prescribed in the preceding 2 paragraphs after receiving the approval from the designated authorized government educational institutions. 5. 第二項所定六 八年, 以擬入學當學期起始日期 ( 二月一日或八月一日 ) 為終日計算之 The six and eight year calculation period as prescribed in Paragraph 2 shall be calculated from the starting date of the semester (Feb. 1st or Aug. 1st) as the designated due date for the time of study. 6. 第二項所稱海外, 指大陸地區 香港及澳門以外之國家或地區 ; 所稱連續居留, 指外國學生每曆年在國內停留期間不得逾一百二十日 Overseas as prescribed in Paragraph 2 is limited to countries or regions other than Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau; the term continuously means that a individual may stay in Taiwan for no more than a total of 120 days per calendar year. 中華民國國籍法第二條 規定 : 有下列各款情形之一者, 屬中華民國國籍 Note: According to Article 2 of Law of Nationality, a person who meets one of the following requirements acquires the nationality of Republic of China: 1. 出生時父或母為中華民國國民 * 民國 69 年 2 月 9 日 ( 含 9 日 ) 前出生者, 僅以父親為準 A person whose father or mother was, at the time of his / her birth, a citizen of Republic of China. *The situation of mother does not apply to those who were born on or before February 9, 出生於父或母死亡後, 其父或母死亡時為中華民國國民 A person born after the death of his / her father or mother who was, at the time of his / her death, a citizen of Republic of China. 3. 出生於中華民國領域內, 父母均無可考, 或均無國籍者 A person born in the territory of Republic of China and whose parents are both unknown or are stateless. 4. 歸化者 A naturalized person. 前項第一款及第二款之規定, 於本法修正公布時之未成年人, 亦適用之 The provisions specified in sub-paragraphs (1) and (2) of the preceding Paragraph shall apply to those who were minors on the date of the promulgation of the amendment of this Law

9 二 學歷 Educational background 1. 符合教育部採認之高中 大學或獨立學院畢業者 ( 請參考教育部網站 申請學士班者需具國外高中畢業或以上學歷 申請碩士班者需 具大學畢業或以上學歷 申請博士班者需具碩士畢業或以上學歷者 Applicants who have graduated from a high school, college, or university recognized by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan can apply for admission (please refer to the website International students with a foreign high school diploma or above are eligible to apply for undergraduate programs; bachelor's degree or above for Master programs; and Master's degree or above for Doctoral programs. 2. 具有與我國學制相當之同等學力資格者 Applicants with equivalent qualifications to the academic degree system of Taiwan can apply for admission. 畢業年級相當於臺灣高級中等學校二年級之國外或香港澳門地區同級同類學校畢業 生得申請本校學士班 本校亦依相關規定將增加其畢業應修學分 Those having completed study at an equivalent foreign or Hong Kong/Macao high school which is equal to the sophomore of a senior high school in Taiwan may apply to the undergraduate program at NTTU and the University shall increase their required number of credits for graduation to complete their study. 二 修業期限 Terms of Study 學士班 :4 至 6 年 Bachelor s program:4-6 years 碩士班 :1 至 4 年 Master s program:1-4 years 博士班 :2 至 7 年 PhD program: 2-7 years 三 申請日期 Application Time 秋季班 自 2016 年 4 月 1 日起至 2016 年 4 月 30 日止 Fall Semester From April 1 to April 30, 2016 春季班 自 2016 年 9 月 1 日起至 2016 年 9 月 30 日止 Spring Semester From September 1 to September 30,

Application package must be postmarked before the deadline of the application submission time. 五 申請文件 Application requirements 1. 入學申請表一份 ( 附件一 ) The application form (See Attachment 1) 2. 經我國駐外館處驗證之最高學歷證明文件一份 ( 中文或英文以外之語文, 應附加經公 證之中文或英文譯本一份 ) One photocopy of the highest academic degree diploma, verified with official stamps by the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas representative office in the country of their original school. (The notarized copy of a translation in English or Chinese is necessary if the original diploma is not in Chinese or English.) 應屆畢業生得先繳交在學證明, 但最遲頇於註冊時繳驗畢業證書正本, 否則取消錄取資格 Graduating students may submit an official proof of current education as a tentative substitute, but then must present the official diploma at the time of registration. (1) 大陸地區學歷 : 應依大陸地區學歷採認辦法規定辦理 Academic credentials from Mainland China: The Regulations Governing the Accreditation of Schools in Mainland China shall apply. (2) 香港或澳門地區 : 應依香港澳門學歷檢覈及採認辦法規定辦理 Academic credentials from Hong Kong or Macao: Academic Credential Verification and Accreditation Methods adopted in Hong Kong and Macao shall apply. (3) 其他地區學歷 / Academic credentials from other areas: 海外臺灣學校及大陸地區臺商學校之學歷同我國同級學校學歷 前二目以外之國外 地區學歷, 應依大學辦理國外學歷採認辦法規定辦理 但設校或分校於大陸地區之 外國學校學歷, 應經大陸地區公證處公證, 並經行政院設立或指定之機構或委託之 民間團體驗證 Academic credentials earned at overseas Taiwan schools or Taiwan schools in - 4 -

11 Mainland China shall be regarded as the same as those at domestic schools with equivalent levels. Academic credentials referred in the preceding 2 Items shall be subject to the Regulations Regarding the Assessment and Recognition of Foreign Academic Credentials for Institutions of Higher Education. However, academic credentials earned from schools or branches established in Mainland China by foreign schools shall require public notarization in Mainland China and be verified and examined by an institute established or appointed by, or through a private agency commissioned by the Executive Yuan. 3. 經我國駐外館處驗證之最高學歷歷年成績單一份 ( 中 英文以外之語文, 應附加經公 證之中文或英文譯本一份 ) One original official transcript of the highest academic degree, verified with official stamps by the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas representative office in the country of their original school. (The notarized copy of a translation in English or Chinese is necessary if the original transcript is not in Chinese or English.) 4. 推薦書二份 ( 附件二 ) Two letters of recommendation (See Attachment 2) 5. 具結書 ( 附件三 ) Declaration (See Attachment 3) 6. 中文或英文學習計畫書一份 A study plan in Chinese or English 7. 中文及英文語言能力證明 Chinese proficiency certificate and English proficiency certificate 8. 財力證明 : 請選擇以下任一種方式繳交 A financial statement: Please select one of the following methods of proof 由金融機構提出 ( 密封逕寄本校 ) 足夠在臺就學之財力證明 One financial statement showing sufficient financial support for studying in Taiwan. The statement must be on the financial institution's official letterhead and mailed to NTTU in an official, sealed envelope. 經我國駐外館處驗證具備足夠在臺就學之財力證明書 ( 若文件為臺灣機關行號所 具, 則免驗證 ) One financial statement showing sufficient financial support for studying in Taiwan.(It should be verified by R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas representative office in the country if the financial support documents are not provided from organizations or banks in Taiwan.) 存款證明非申請人帳戶者, 需附上資助者之財力保證書 ( 附件四 ) 及其存款證明 - 5 -

13 學系 Department 應另繳交資料 Additional required Documents 應另繳交資料 : 申請者頇繳交個人近三年內參與之運 運動競技學士學位學程 Bachelor Program of Athletic Performance 動競賽最佳成績證明文件 Documents: Applicant has to deliver the documents of your best athletic competition awards during three years recently. 運動項目以棒球 柔道 空氣槍射擊為限 Restriction: Only Baseball, Judo and Air shooting are eligible. 如在申請截止日期前無法完成驗證手續, 請繳交 文件驗證切結書 ( 如附件六 ), 若經錄 取, 頇於報到時繳交經我國驗外館處 行政院設立或指定之機構或委託之民間團體驗證之 畢業證書及成績單正本, 未能如期繳交者, 將取消其錄取資格 If the verification process is not completed before the application deadline, a signed Affidavit (of Admissions Documents to be Verified) (see Attachment 5) must be submitted with the application. At the time of registration, students must provide the original academic degree and transcript verified by a Taiwan overseas representative office, or verified by an institute established or appointed by, or through a private agency commissioned by, the Executive Yuan, If the related certificates cannot be submitted on time, the admissions offer will be revoked. 前項應繳交申請文件一律依前項順序由上而下, 整理齊全, 以迴紋針夾於右上角, 帄放入 A4 信封內 每一封袋僅限一人申請, 未繳證件 資料填寫不符規定均不予受理 All application documents shall be arranged in order, stapled in the upper right, and placed with a paper clip in an A4 envelop (one envelop per applicant). Incomplete applications will not be processed. 所有申請文件一概不退還, 請自行保留備份 No application documents shall be returned for any reason. Please make copies for yourself if needed. 以電子郵件或傳真方式繳交申請文件恕不予受理 Application submissions via or fax are not acceptable. 貳 錄取原則 Reviewing Process 1. 由各招生系所組成外國學生入學審查委員會, 審查申請者資料並做成錄取與否之決議 除正取生外, 得列備取生若干名, 亦得不足額錄取且不列備取生 The final list of admitted students shall be decided by the admissions committee of each department. A number of provisional admitted students may be put on the waiting list. The departments or institutions may choose not to grant any admission, if the - 7 -

14 minimum requirements have not been met. 2. 各招生學系 / 所缺額得互相流用 The student recruitment quota for each graduate institute/department is negotiable, if it is not fulfilled. 參 放榜及報到 Announcement of Application Results and Registration 項目 Events 網路公告錄取名單 Admission Results Posted on the NTTU Website 寄發錄取通知 Admission letters sent to Applicants 錄取生書面報到 Deadline for Submitting Registration Form 秋季班 Fall Semester 2016 年 6 月 9 日 June 09, 年 6 月 12 日 June 12, 年 7 月 30 日 July 30, 2016 春季班 Spring Semester 2016 年 11 月 20 日 November 20, 年 11 月 27 日 November 27, 年 1 月 9 日 January 09, 2017 錄取名單公告於本校網站 Admitted list posted on NTTU Website. 註冊入學事宜另行通知 Enrolment will be notified at a later date. 一 錄取生辦理通訊報到時, 應繳交經我國駐外館處驗證之護照影本 畢業證書及成績單, 始得註冊入學 Admitted students should submit one copy of their passport and diploma and transcript verified (with official stamp/seal) by the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas representative office in the country of their original school when they mail their acceptance letter. After this, an applicant is ready for enrollment. 二 錄取生於註冊時應檢附已於國外投保自入境當日起至少六個月效期之醫療及傷害保險 如已具有我國全民健康保險, 則檢附相關保險證明文件 前項國外之保險證明, 應經我國駐外館處驗證 When admitted students register at NTTU, they should provide proof of medical and personal health insurance papers insured outside R.O.C. with validity from entering R.O.C. up to at least six months upon enrollment. If already being insured at the national health insurance of R.O.C., the enrolled students only need to provide proof of the related insurance papers. The above-mentioned insurance papers issued outside ROC should be certified by R.O.C. (Taiwan) Overseas representative office. 肆 學雜費收費標準 Tuition and Fees - 8 -

15 以下學雜費標準為本校 105 學年度預定標準, 實際學雜費將以屆時公告為準 ( 所有費 用以新臺幣計算 ) The following are estimated tuition rates for the 2016/2017 academic year. The actual tuition will be announced on the relevant date. All the fees are base on NT dollars (NT$). A. 學士班學雜費每學期約新臺幣 47,070 元 ~54,110 元 Tuition fees for Bachelor program are approximately NT$ 47,070~54,110 per semester. B. 碩士班學雜費每學期約新臺幣 47,050 元 ~54,940 元 Tuition fees for Master program are approximately NT$ 47,050~54,940 per semester. C. 博士班學雜費每學期約新臺幣 47,050 元 ~48,470 元 Tuition fees for Doctoral program are approximately NT$ 47,050~48,470 per semester. D. 其他費用 Other Fees 學生團體保險費 Student Insurance NT$ 269/ per semester ( 一學期 ) 電腦網路使用費 Computer & Network fees NT$ 300 / per semester ( 一學期 ) 全民健康保險費 ( 入學後第七個月開始 ) National Health Insurance (starting from the NT$ 749 / per month ( 每月 ) fifth month of enrollment) 伍 獎學金 Scholarship Information 一 教育部臺灣獎學金 Taiwan Scholarship 外國學生可於來臺前透過臺灣駐外單位申請由政府提供之臺灣獎學金, 詳情請見 : Study In Taiwan Scholarships International students may apply for the Taiwan Scholarship offered by the government. Please check: Study In Taiwan Scholarships for detailed information. Please be noted that this scholarship should be applied at the applicant s resident country before he/she comes to Taiwan. 二 國立臺東大學外國學生獎助學金 NTTU International Student Scholarship A. 新生獎助學金 : 每月 8,000 元 Newly admitted international students:$8,000 NT per month. B. 在校生獎助學金 : Currently enrolled international students with official student status: 1. 前一學年學業成績列班上前 10% 者 : 每月 12,000 元 - 9 -

16 Students whose final grade of the previous academic year ranks in the top 10 percent of the class: $12,000 NT per month 2. 前一學年學業成績名列班上前 25% 者 : 每月 10,000 元 Students whose final grade of the previous academic year ranks in the top 25 percent of the class: $10,000 NT per month 3. 前一學年學業成績名列班上前 50% 者 : 每月 8,000 元 Students whose final grade of the previous academic year ranks in the top 50 percent of the class: $8,000 NT per month C. 免全額學雜費 Provides full tuition and miscellaneous fees waiver. D. 免二分之一學雜費 Provides half tuition and miscellaneous fees waiver. E. 獎助學金種類, 可視審核結果搭配組合之 The scholarship and tuition waiver will to offer based on unification results and annual budget. F. 獎助學金每年以發給 10 個月為原則, 但以學生實際在境內學習之月數為上限 The scholarship will be granted for a total of 10 months per year, or each month of actual study while at NTTU. 陸 其它注意事項 Other Important Remarks 一 依教育部規定, 外國學生來臺就學後, 其於就學期間許可在臺初設戶籍登記 戶籍遷入登記 歸化或回復中華民國國籍者, 喪失外國學生身分, 應予退學 ; 外國學生經入學學校以操行 學業成績不及格或因犯刑事案件經判刑確定致遭退學者, 不得再依 外國學生來臺就讀辦法 申請入學 違反規定經查證屬實者, 取消其入學資格 According to the regulations of MOE (Ministry of Education), those who have been approved to make Initial Household Registration, Moving-in Registration, Acquisition or Restoration of Nationality during their study in Taiwan and have thus ceased to possess the status as foreign students, shall be expelled from any attending school. Moreover, those who withdraw or are expelled from any attending school in the Republic of China due to misbehavior, unqualified study performance or conviction of a penal crime may not thereafter apply again for admission under Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan. If the test result is positive, the central competent authority shall notify the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the immigration office to revoke or annul their visas or permits of stay or residence, and order them to leave the country (border).
