Maximum time to complete degree programs 修業年限 : Students shall complete all requirements within 2 to 7 years from initial enrollment; however, approved leave periods will not be counted as terms of enrollment. 二至七年為限 C. Qualifications for application: Applicants must meet the following qualifications as well as requirements of each school or graduate institute. 申請資格 : 申請人必須符合下列規定以及各系所之入學標準 1. Eligibility 身分規定 : An individual who meets the following qualification is qualified to apply for admission under MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan. 符合以下資格者, 得依教育部 外國學生來臺就學辦法 申請入學 (1) An individual of foreign nationality who has never held Republic of China (R.O.C.) citizenship and who does not possess overseas Chinese student status at the time of application is qualified to apply. 具外國國籍且未曾具有中華民國國籍, 於申請時並不具僑生資格者 (2) An individual of foreign nationality, pursuant to the following requirements, i.e., who has resided overseas continuously for no less than 6 years. However, those who apply for medical or dental studies must have resided overseas continuously for at least 8 years. The six-year calculation period as prescribed shall be calculated to the starting date of the semester (Feb. 1 or Aug. 1). The term overseas is limited to countries or regions other than mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau; the term reside overseas continuously means an individual may stay in Taiwan for no more than 120 days total per calendar year. 具外國國籍且符合下列規定, 並於申請時已連續居留海外六年 ( 申請醫 牙學系需滿八年 ) 以上 所定六年, 以擬入學當學期起始日期 ( 二月一日或八月一日 ) 為終日計算之 - 1 -

An individual who is also a citizen of the R.O.C., but does not hold and has not held household registration in Taiwan is qualified to apply for admission. 申請時, 兼具中華民國國籍者, 應自始未曾在臺設有戶籍 B. An individual who was a national of the R.O.C., but whose citizenship was nullified at the time of application shall have an annulled status for more than 8 years as certified by Ministry of the Interior. 申請前曾兼具中華民國國籍, 於申請時已不具中華民國國籍者, 應自內政部許可喪失中華民國國籍之日起至申請時已滿八年 C. Applicants mentioned in the preceding 2 subparagraphs must not have studied in Taiwan as overseas Chinese students nor received placement permission during the same year of the application by the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students. 前兩款均未曾以僑生身分在臺就學, 且未於當學年度接受海外聯合招生委員會分發 (3) An applicant of foreign nationality concurrently holding a permanent residence status in Hong Kong or Macao, having no history of household registration in Taiwan and who at the time of application has resided in Hong Kong, Macao or another foreign country continuously for no less than 6 years (8 years for those seeking training in medicine and dentistry) are qualified for admission. The term reside overseas continuously mentioned in the preceding paragraph means that an individual may had stayed in Taiwan previously for no more than 120 days total per calendar year. 具外國國籍, 兼具香港 澳門永久居留資格, 且未曾在臺設有戶籍, 申請時於香港 澳門或海外連續居留滿六年 ( 申請醫 牙學系需滿八年 ) 以上 所稱連續居留, 指每曆年在國內停留期間, 合計未逾一百二十日 (4) An applicant who was a former citizen of Mainland China and holds a foreign nationality, having no history of household registration record in Taiwan and who recently has resided overseas continuously for no less than 6 years (8 years for those seeking training in medicine and dentistry) is qualified for admission. The term reside overseas continuously means an individual may have stayed in Taiwan for no more than 120 days total per calendar year. 曾為大陸地區人民具外國國籍且未曾在臺設有戶籍, 且最近連續居留海外六年 ( 申請醫 牙學系需滿八年 ) 以上 所稱連續居留, 指每曆年在國內停留期間, 合計未逾一百二十日 2. Educational eligibility: A master s degree awarded by universities recognized by Taiwan s Ministry of Education is required. As announced by the Taiwan Representative Office in Vietnam, Vietnamese applicants are required to provide language certification for admission to degree programs and Taiwan visa requirements. Documents in languages other than English or Chinese must be translated into English or Chinese to be reviewed. 5 H. Admission quota for Ph.D. students The final number of admission offers will be determined by the Ministry of Education. 實際招生名額依教育部核定名額為主 I. Admission placements are based on student preferences 分發方式說明 : 1. Students may apply for up to three programs. Those applying for multiple programs must rank these programs in order of preference. 外國學生報名時每人可申請三系所, 需同時填寫志願順序, 錄取分發時則按照志願順序進行分發 2. Each applicant can be admitted to one program only. Once admitted, their applications to other TMU programs will not be considered. 每位學生僅能正取一系所, 獲錄取後, 原填寫之其他志願則不進行分發或列為備取 J. Notification and requirements after acceptance 錄取後應繳交文件及注意事項 1. Accepted students must present diplomas and transcripts during the registration process. All submitted documents must be valid; if any document is found to be invalid, the student will be disqualified from enrollment. 攜帶畢業證書正本供註冊組查驗, 所繳交之資料須為真實, 日後發現學歷造假, 將無條件取消學籍 2. Students who are not awarded tuition waivers and monthly stipend scholarships will need to provide proof of financial support (US$15,000 or equivalent amount). Failure to provide such proof will be cause for terminating the admission. 未獲全額獎學金 ( 含學雜費及生活費 ) 者, 須繳交足夠在臺就學之財力證明美金 15,000 元 逾期未繳交者, 視同放棄入學 3. All new students who cannot provide proof of six months of overseas medical insurance at the beginning of their stay in Taiwan may purchase this at time of registration for US$ 100. 經本校核准入學者, 註冊時應繳交自入境日起,6 個月有效之海外醫療保險 ( 給付地點須包含臺灣發生之醫療支出 ) 未投保者將強制加入僑生醫療保險, 保險費 ( 約美金 100 元 ) 於註冊時繳交 4. If an international student has been expelled from a Taiwan educational institution for having failed morality or conduct evaluations, for having failed academically, or for being sentenced in a criminal case, he/she may not apply for enrollment according to the rules and regulations listed here. 外國學生經入學學校以操行 學業成績不及格或因犯刑事案件經判刑確定致遭退學者, 不得再依本辦法申請入學 5.
